He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.It contained all kinds of four- footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.

Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

“ I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

People will dwell again in his shade; they will flourish like the grain, they will blossom like the vine— Israel’s fame will be like the wine of Lebanon.

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit.

May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.

“ The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’“‘ Sir,’ the servant said,‘ what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’“ Then the master told his servant,‘ Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations— their kings led in triumphal procession.For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.

Lift up your eyes and look around; all your children gather and come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the Lord,“ you will wear them all as ornaments; you will put them on, like a bride.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him— those who cannot keep themselves alive.Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.

with beautiful leaves and abundant fruit, providing food for all, giving shelter to the wild animals, and having nesting places in its branches for the birds—Your Majesty, you are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth.“ Your Majesty saw a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven and saying,‘ Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground.
