“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant.

所以主耶和华如此说：“我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看指我所起的誓，背弃指我所立的约，我必要使这罪归在他头上。

因此，主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，他既藐视与我所立的誓言，背弃与我所定的约，我必惩罚他。

因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。

因此，主耶和華說，『我憑我的永恆起誓，他既藐視與我所立的誓言，背棄與我所定的約，我必懲罰他。

因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。

主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼藐我誓、爽我約、我必以此罪歸於其首、

主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、

主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、彼所輕之誓、即向我而發、所背之約、即與我而立、我必加報其身、身原文作首

“‘ The Lord and King says,“ Zedekiah didn’t keep the promise he made in my name. He broke the treaty. So I will pay him back. And that is just as sure as I am alive.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely it is my oath that he despised, and my covenant that he broke. I will return it upon his head.

“ So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will punish him for breaking my covenant and disregarding the solemn oath he made in my name.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: As I live, I will bring down on his head my oath that he despised and my covenant that he broke.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, My oath which he despised and My covenant which he broke, I will certainly inflict on his head.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, I will bring down on his head My oath that he despised and My covenant that he broke.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.

“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, I will certainly repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant!

“ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:‘ As I live, I will surely bring on his own head my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken.

Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?

“ You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

“‘ Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say,“ We are safe”— safe to do all these detestable things?Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the Lord.“‘ Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel.While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke to you again and again, but you did not listen; I called you, but you did not answer.Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors.I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’

It will seem like a false omen to those who have sworn allegiance to him, but he will remind them of their guilt and take them captive.“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:‘ Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do— because you have done this, you will be taken captive.“‘ You profane and wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, whose time of punishment has reached its climax,this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Take off the turban, remove the crown. It will not be as it was: The lowly will be exalted and the exalted will be brought low.A ruin! A ruin! I will make it a ruin! The crown will not be restored until he to whom it rightfully belongs shall come; to him I will give it.’

Although they say,‘ As surely as the Lord lives,’ still they are swearing falsely.”
