因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。

所以主耶和华如此说：“我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看指我所起的誓，背弃指我所立的约，我必要使这罪归在他头上。

所以主耶和华如此说：我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他头上。

因此，主耶和华说，‘我凭我的永恒起誓，他既藐视与我所立的誓言，背弃与我所定的约，我必惩罚他。

因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。

主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼藐我誓、爽我約、我必以此罪歸於其首、

主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、

主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、彼所輕之誓、即向我而發、所背之約、即與我而立、我必加報其身、身原文作首

“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant.

“‘ The Lord and King says,“ Zedekiah didn’t keep the promise he made in my name. He broke the treaty. So I will pay him back. And that is just as sure as I am alive.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely it is my oath that he despised, and my covenant that he broke. I will return it upon his head.

“ So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will punish him for breaking my covenant and disregarding the solemn oath he made in my name.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: As I live, I will bring down on his head my oath that he despised and my covenant that he broke.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, My oath which he despised and My covenant which he broke, I will certainly inflict on his head.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, I will bring down on his head My oath that he despised and My covenant that he broke.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.

“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, I will certainly repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant!

“ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:‘ As I live, I will surely bring on his own head my oath that he has despised and my covenant that he has broken.

永恆主發神諭說：我豈不因這些事來施察罰呢？這樣的國我豈不加以報復呢？

『「不可妄稱永恆主你的上帝的名，因為妄稱永恆主之名的、永恆主必不以他為無罪。

怎麼啦！你們偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、起假誓、燻祭獻給巴力，隨從素不認識之別的神，你們又來到這稱為我名下的殿，站在我面前，說：「我們得救了！」——無他，只為的是要繼續行那些可厭惡的事罷了！是不是？這稱為我名下的殿、在你們眼中看就作為兇暴人的洞穴麼？你瞧着吧，我都看見了：這是永恆主發神諭說的。你請到我的地方，就是那在示羅的，我起先使我的名居住的所在，去察看我因我人民以色列的邪惡對那地所行的怎麼樣。現在呢、永恆主發神諭說，因你們行了這一切事，我也曾告誡了你們，又及時又屢次地告誡，你們卻不聽；我呼喚你們，你們卻不應，因此我必待這殿，就是這稱為我名下的，你們所倚靠的，我必待這地方，就是我所賜給你們、和你們列祖的，像我從前待示羅一樣。我必將你們丟掉離開我面前，正如丟掉你們的族弟兄以法蓮所有的後裔一樣。

據猶大人看來，這是虛謊的占卜：但巴比倫王卻鄭重其事地起誓、要使他們想起他們的罪孽，以便將他們捉住。『因此主永恆主這麼說：你們既使你們的罪孽被記起了；這就是說：你們的過犯既露現出來，以致你們的罪在你們一切的行為上都給人看見——你們既使人記起了，那麼、你們就會被人下手捉住了。你，眾所賤視之惡人，以色列王子啊，你的日子到了，就在罪罰結束的時候：主永恆主這麼說：除掉禮冠！摘下冠冕！情形不尋常了。使卑微者升高！使高者降為卑微！扭毁！扭毁！扭毁！我要執行！連痕跡也不可再有；直等到那應得的人來到，我才交給他。

雖然他們起誓說：「願永活的永恆主」為證，其實他們是起假誓的。
