Yea, behold,[ being] planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.

葡萄树虽然栽种，岂能发旺呢？一经东风，岂不全然枯干吗？必在生长的畦中枯干了。”

看哪，葡萄树虽然栽种了，岂能发旺呢？一经东风击打，岂不全然枯干了吗？它必在生长的苗圃中枯干了。”

看哪，葡萄树虽然栽种了，岂能发旺呢？一经东风击打，岂不全然枯干了吗？它必在生长的苗圃中枯干了。”

这树虽然被栽种了，又岂能长得茂盛呢？东风一吹，它岂不完全枯萎在园圃中了吗？’”

看哪！葡萄树被栽种了，但它能发旺吗？东风吹袭它的时候，它不是必然枯干吗？它必在生长的苗床上枯干。’”

葡萄樹雖然栽種，豈能發旺呢？一經東風，豈不全然枯乾嗎？必在生長的畦中枯乾了。」

看哪，葡萄樹雖然栽種了，豈能發旺呢？一經東風擊打，豈不全然枯乾了嗎？它必在生長的苗圃中枯乾了。」

這樹雖然被栽種了，又豈能長得茂盛呢？東風一吹，它豈不完全枯萎在園圃中了嗎？』」

看哪！葡萄樹被栽種了，但它能發旺嗎？東風吹襲它的時候，它不是必然枯乾嗎？它必在生長的苗床上枯乾。’”

看哪，葡萄樹固然是被移植了，然而哪能發旺呢？東風一擊打它，它哪能不全然枯乾呢？它必定在它寄生的苗床上枯乾掉的。』

雖種植之、詎得繁盛、豈不於所植之畦、為東風所搖撼、而盡枯槁乎、○

葡萄雖為人所植、不復向榮於園囿之中、為東風來搖撼、盡為枯槁。

葡萄樹雖得栽植、豈能發旺乎、東風擊之、立即枯槁、必於栽植之處枯槁、○

It has been planted, but will it thrive? Will it not wither completely when the east wind strikes it— wither away in the plot where it grew?’”

It has been planted, but will it grow? No. It will dry up completely when the east wind strikes it. It will dry up in the place where it grew.” ’ ”

Behold, it is planted; will it thrive? Will it not utterly wither when the east wind strikes it— wither away on the bed where it sprouted?”

But when the vine is transplanted, will it thrive? No, it will wither away when the east wind blows against it. It will die in the same good soil where it had grown so well.”

Even though it is planted, will it flourish? Won’t it wither completely when the east wind strikes it? It will wither on the plot where it sprouted.’”

Behold, though it is planted, will it thrive? Will it not completely wither as soon as the east wind strikes it— wither on the beds where it grew?” ’ ”

Consider! It is planted, but will it prosper? Will it not wither completely when the east wind blows on it? Will it not wither in the soil where it sprouted?’”

Though he be fruitful among[ his] brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.And now she[ is] planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches,[ which] hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod[ to be] a sceptre to rule. This[ is] a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds[ they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
