我過而見爾時、乃相愛之際、則以衣襟覆爾、蔽爾裸體、與爾誓約、爾則歸我、主耶和華言之矣、

主耶和華曰、我過而見汝、若女及笄、我以裾覆爾、締結姻盟、于歸乎我。

主天主曰、我從爾旁經過以觀爾、見爾已長、可以于歸、遂以衣裾覆爾、遮爾赤體、向爾發誓、與爾結盟、俾爾歸於我、

“‘ Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.

“‘ “Later, I was passing by again. I looked at you. I saw that you were old enough for love. So I married you and took good care of you. I covered your naked body. I made a firm promise to you. I entered into a covenant with you. And you became mine,” announces the Lord and King.

“ When I passed by you again and saw you, behold, you were at the age for love, and I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness; I made my vow to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord God, and you became mine.

And when I passed by again, I saw that you were old enough for love. So I wrapped my cloak around you to cover your nakedness and declared my marriage vows. I made a covenant with you, says the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.

“‘ Then I passed by you and saw you, and you were indeed at the age for love. So I spread the edge of my garment over you and covered your nakedness. I pledged myself to you, entered into a covenant with you— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— and you became mine.

“ Then I passed by you and saw you, and behold, you were at the time for love; so I spread My garment over you and covered your nakedness. I also swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you so that you became Mine,” declares the Lord God.

“ When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” says the Lord God.

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord Jehovah, and thou becamest mine.

“ Then I passed by you and saw you, and you were indeed at the age for love. So I spread the edge of My garment over you and covered your nakedness. I pledged Myself to you, entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

“‘ Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

“‘“ Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ and you became mine.

因我看你為寶為尊；又因我愛你，所以我使人代替你，使列邦人替換你的生命。

「你去向耶路撒冷人的耳中喊叫說，耶和華如此說：你幼年的恩愛，婚姻的愛情，你怎樣在曠野，在未曾耕種之地跟隨我，我都記得。那時以色列歸耶和華為聖，作為土產初熟的果子；凡吞吃它的必算為有罪，災禍必臨到他們。這是耶和華說的。

『我向埃及人所行的事，你們都看見了，且看見我如鷹將你們背在翅膀上，帶來歸我。如今你們若實在聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就要在萬民中作屬我的子民，因為全地都是我的。你們要歸我作祭司的國度，為聖潔的國民。』這些話你要告訴以色列人。」摩西去召了民間的長老來，將耶和華所吩咐他的話都在他們面前陳明。百姓都同聲回答說：「凡耶和華所說的，我們都要遵行。」摩西就將百姓的話回覆耶和華。

因為你歸耶和華－你神為聖潔的民；耶和華－你神從地上的萬民中揀選你，特作自己的子民。「耶和華專愛你們，揀選你們，並非因你們的人數多於別民，原來你們的人數在萬民中是最少的。只因耶和華愛你們，又因要守他向你們列祖所起的誓，就用大能的手領你們出來，從為奴之家救贖你們脫離埃及王法老的手。

惟有基督在我們還作罪人的時候為我們死，神的愛就在此向我們顯明了。

求你記念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列。你曾指着自己起誓說：『我必使你們的後裔像天上的星那樣多，並且我所應許的這全地，必給你們的後裔，他們要永遠承受為業。』」

耶和華－你神原是有憐憫的神；他總不撇下你，不滅絕你，也不忘記他起誓與你列祖所立的約。

「我從你旁邊經過，見你滾在血中，就對你說：你雖在血中，仍可存活；你雖在血中，仍可存活。

耶和華既喜悅選你們作他的子民，就必因他的大名不撇棄你們。

對他們說，主耶和華如此說：當日我揀選以色列，向雅各家的後裔起誓，在埃及地將自己向他們顯現，說：我是耶和華－你們的神。那日我向他們起誓，必領他們出埃及地，到我為他們察看的流奶與蜜之地；那地在萬國中是有榮耀的。

耶和華對摩西說：「你和亞倫、拿答、亞比戶，並以色列長老中的七十人，都要上到我這裏來，遠遠地下拜。惟獨你可以親近耶和華；他們卻不可親近；百姓也不可和你一同上來。」摩西下山，將耶和華的命令典章都述說與百姓聽。眾百姓齊聲說：「耶和華所吩咐的，我們都必遵行。」摩西將耶和華的命令都寫上。清早起來，在山下築一座壇，按以色列十二支派立十二根柱子，又打發以色列人中的少年人去獻燔祭，又向耶和華獻牛為平安祭。摩西將血一半盛在盆中，一半灑在壇上；又將約書念給百姓聽。他們說：「耶和華所吩咐的，我們都必遵行。」摩西將血灑在百姓身上，說：「你看！這是立約的血，是耶和華按這一切話與你們立約的憑據。」

以色列年幼的時候，我愛他，就從埃及召出我的兒子來。

惟你以色列－我的僕人，雅各－我所揀選的，我朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔，你是我從地極所領來的，從地角所召來的，且對你說：你是我的僕人；我揀選你，並不棄絕你。

我要照耶和華一切所賜給我們的，提起他的慈愛和美德，並他向以色列家所施的大恩；這恩是照他的憐恤和豐盛的慈愛賜給他們的。他說：他們誠然是我的百姓，不行虛假的子民；這樣，他就作了他們的救主。他們在一切苦難中，他也同受苦難；並且他面前的使者拯救他們；他以慈愛和憐憫救贖他們；在古時的日子常保抱他們，懷搋他們。

當那日，我必為我的民，與田野的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並地上的昆蟲立約；又必在國中折斷弓刀，止息爭戰，使他們安然躺臥。我必聘你永遠歸我為妻，以仁義、公平、慈愛、憐憫聘你歸我；也以誠實聘你歸我，你就必認識我－耶和華。

古時耶和華向以色列顯現，說：我以永遠的愛愛你，因此我以慈愛吸引你。

不像我拉着他們祖宗的手，領他們出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約。我雖作他們的丈夫，他們卻背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。」

不但如此，還有利百加，既從一個人，就是從我們的祖宗以撒懷了孕，（雙子還沒有生下來，善惡還沒有做出來，只因要顯明神揀選人的旨意，不在乎人的行為，乃在乎召人的主。）神就對利百加說：「將來，大的要服事小的。」正如經上所記：雅各是我所愛的；以掃是我所惡的。

耶和華說：「我曾愛你們。」你們卻說：「你在何事上愛我們呢？」耶和華說：「以掃不是雅各的哥哥嗎？我卻愛雅各，
