我们知道律法所讲的都是针对律法之下的人，好叫所有的人都无话可说，使全世界都伏在上帝的审判之下。

主啊，你是公义的，我们今日满面羞愧，我们犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，以及因对你不忠而被驱散到远近各地的以色列人都满面羞愧。主啊，我们和我们的君王、首领、先祖因得罪了你而满脸羞愧。

我默然不语，一言不发，因为我受的责罚是出于你。

那时，你们便会想起自己邪恶的行径，并因自己的罪恶和可憎行为而厌恶自己。主耶和华说，你们应当知道，我这样做并不是为了你们。以色列人啊，你们应当为自己的行为抱愧蒙羞。’

你接纳你姊妹的时候，会想起自己的所作所为并自觉羞愧。我要将你姊妹赐给你作女儿，我这样做并不是出于我与你所立的约。

既然如此，我们哪里能夸口呢？当然没有可夸的。靠什么方法让人不能夸口呢？靠遵行律法吗？不是！是靠信主的方法。

说：“我的上帝啊，我羞愧难当，不敢抬头看你，因为我们的恶行灭顶，我们的罪恶滔天。

这样，你肯定会对我说：“为什么上帝还指责人呢？谁能抗拒祂的旨意呢？”你这个人啊！你是谁啊？竟敢顶撞上帝！受造之物怎能对造物主说：“你为什么把我造成这样？”

虽然我们深陷罪中，你却赦免了我们。

拯救我们的上帝啊，求你为了自己荣耀的名而帮助我们，为你名的缘故拯救我们，赦免我们的罪。

因此，你这论断人的啊，不管你是谁，都难逃罪责。你在什么事上论断别人，就在什么事上定了自己的罪，因为你论断别人的事，自己也在做。

谁使你与众不同呢？你有哪一样不是领受的呢？既然一切都是领受的，你为什么还自夸，好像不是领受的？

我们以前也在他们当中随从罪恶的本性，放纵肉体和心中的私欲，与其他人一样本是惹上帝发怒的人。然而上帝有丰富的怜悯，祂深爱我们，尽管我们死在过犯之中，祂仍然使我们和基督一同活了过来。你们得救是因为上帝的恩典。

世人因自己的罪受罚，又何必怨天尤人呢？

从前我们也愚蠢、悖逆、易受迷惑，受各种私欲和享乐的驱使，心里充满了嫉妒和恶念，令人憎恶，也彼此憎恨。但我们的救主上帝向人彰显了祂的恩慈和仁爱，借着重生之洗和圣灵的更新拯救了我们，这并非因为我们有义行，而是因为祂的怜悯。上帝借着我们的救主耶稣基督把圣灵丰丰富富地浇灌在我们身上。这样，我们既然靠着祂的恩典而被称为义人，就可以成为后嗣，有永生的盼望。

“我这样卑微，怎能答复你？我只有用手掩口。我说了一次，不能答复；说了两次，不敢再说。”

我们既然因信而被称为义人，就借着我们的主耶稣基督与上帝和好了。我们又靠着祂，借着信进入现在所站的这恩典中，欢欢喜喜地盼望分享上帝的荣耀。
