Most certainly I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God’s voice; and those who hear will live.

But you are cast away from your tomb like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, who are thrust through with the sword, who go down to the stones of the pit; like a dead body trodden under foot.

Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is Yahweh your God? Then my enemy will see me and will cover her shame. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.

Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the middle of the land of Egypt.But I worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.So I caused them to go out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you into Egypt.’

He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.They performed miracles among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn’t rebel against his words.He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.He gave them hail for rain, with lightning in their land.He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.He spoke, and the locusts came with the grasshoppers, without number,ate up every plant in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.He brought them out with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.

Don’t say in your heart, after Yahweh your God has thrust them out from before you,“ For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to possess this land;” because Yahweh drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.
