那時你的壞行為還沒露現出來；如今你竟成了像她的，成了以東女兒們辱罵的對象、以及她四圍的眾人、那四圍輕蔑你的、非利士女兒們——辱罵的對象呢！

其時爾惡尚未彰顯、亞蘭眾女、及四周之非利士眾女、尚未凌辱爾、藐視爾、

before your wickedness was uncovered. Even so, you are now scorned by the daughters of Edom and all her neighbors and the daughters of the Philistines— all those around you who despise you.

That was before your sin was uncovered. Now the daughters of Edom make fun of you. So do all her neighbors and the daughters of the Philistines. Everyone who lives around you hates you.

before your wickedness was uncovered? Now you have become an object of reproach for the daughters of Syria and all those around her, and for the daughters of the Philistines, those all around who despise you.

But now your greater wickedness has been exposed to all the world, and you are the one who is scorned— by Edom and all her neighbors and by Philistia.

before your wickedness was exposed? It was like the time you were scorned by the daughters of Aram and all those around her, and by the daughters of the Philistines— those who treated you with contempt from every side.

before your wickedness was uncovered. It was like the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria and all those around her, and of the daughters of the Philistines, who despise you everywhere.

before thy wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, that do despite unto thee round about.

before your wickedness was exposed? It was like the time you were scorned by the daughters of Aram and all those around her, and by the daughters of the Philistines— those who treated you with contempt from every side.

Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of[ thy] reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all[ that are] round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.

before your evil was exposed? Now you have become an object of scorn to the daughters of Aram and all those around her and to the daughters of the Philistines– those all around you who despise you.

Then Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem for war; and they besieged Ahaz, but were not capable of fighting him.At that time Rezin king of Aram restored Elath to Aram, and drove the Judeans away from Elath; and the Arameans came to Elath and have lived there to this day.So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath pileser king of Assyria, saying,“ I am your servant and your son; come up and save me from the hand of the king of Aram, and from the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me.”

This is what the Lord God says:“ Because your lewdness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered through your obscene practices with your lovers and with all your detestable idols, and because of the blood of your sons that you gave to idols,therefore, behold, I am going to gather all your lovers whom you pleased, all those whom you loved as well as all those whom you hated. So I will gather them against you from every direction and expose your nakedness to them so that they may see all your nakedness.

Therefore the Lord his God handed him over to the king of Aram; and they defeated him and carried from him a great number of captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also handed over to the king of Israel, who struck him with heavy casualties.For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed 120,000 in Judah in one day, all valiant men, because they had abandoned the Lord God of their fathers.

Now it came about in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not conquer it.

The Philistines had also invaded the cities of the lowland and of the Negev of Judah, and had taken Beth shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, and Soco with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages; and they had settled there.For the Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had brought about a lack of restraint in Judah and was very unfaithful to the Lord.So Tilgath pilneser king of Assyria came against him and afflicted him instead of strengthening him.Although Ahaz took a portion out of the house of the Lord and out of the palace of the king and of the princes, and gave it to the king of Assyria, it did not help him.Now during the time of his distress, this same King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the Lord.For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus who had defeated him, and said,“ Because the gods of the kings of Aram helped them, I will sacrifice to them so that they may help me.” But they became the downfall of him and all Israel.

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of human hearts; and then praise will come to each person from God.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:‘ Because you have made your guilt known, in that your offenses are uncovered, so that in all your deeds your sins are seen— because you have come to mind, you will be seized by the hand.

The punishment of your wrongdoing has been completed, daughter of Zion; He will no longer exile you. But He will punish your wrongdoing, daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins!

So now I will uncover her lewdness Before the eyes of her lovers, And no one will rescue her from My hand.

“ Have you not observed what these people have asserted, saying,‘ The two families which the Lord chose, He has rejected them’? So they despise My people as no longer being a nation in their sight.

In the year that King Ahaz died, this pronouncement came:

When I would heal Israel, The wrongdoing of Ephraim is uncovered, And the evil deeds of Samaria, For they practice deception; The thief enters, A band of robbers attack outside,

And he took up his discourse and said,“ From Aram Balak has brought me, Moab’s king from the mountains of the East, saying,‘ Come, declare Jacob cursed for me, And come, curse Israel!’

She exposed her obscene practices and exposed her nakedness; then I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had turned away from her sister in disgust.Yet she multiplied her obscene practices, remembering the days of her youth, when she prostituted herself in the land of Egypt.

The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.
