所以，雅各的罪孽藉此得赦免，除罪的效果盡在乎此；他使祭壇的石頭變為粉碎的石灰，使亞舍拉和香壇不再立起。

耶和華說：因為錫安狂傲，行走挺項，賣弄眼目，俏步徐行，腳下玎璫，主必使錫安頭頂長瘡，耶和華又暴露其下體。到那日，主必除掉華美的足飾、額帶、月牙圈、耳環、手鐲、面紗、頭巾、足鏈、華帶、香盒、符囊、戒指、鼻環、禮服、外套、披肩、皮包、手鏡、細麻衣、頭飾、紗巾。必有腐爛代替馨香，繩子代替腰帶，光禿代替美髮，麻衣繫腰代替華服，烙痕代替美貌。

我使你身穿錦繡衣裳，腳穿海狗皮鞋，用細麻布裹着你，精緻衣料披在你身上。我用首飾打扮你：我把手鐲戴在你手上，項鏈在你頸上，我也把環子戴在你鼻上，耳環在你耳上，華冠在你頭上。這樣，你就有金銀的首飾，穿的是細麻衣和精緻衣料，以及錦繡衣裳；吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油。你也極其美貌，配登王后之位。你美貌的名聲傳到列國，因我加給你榮華，使你完美。這是主耶和華說的。「只是你仗着自己美貌，又憑着你的名聲行淫。你向路人縱情淫亂，你的美貌就屬於他的了。你拿你的衣服為自己做成彩色丘壇，在其上行淫。這樣的事本不該有，以後也不該發生。你拿我所賜給你的那些美麗的金銀寶物，為自己製造男性的偶像，與它們行淫；你拿你的錦繡衣裳為它們披上，把我的膏油和香料擺在它們面前；你把我賜給你的食物，就是我賜給你享用的細麵、油和蜂蜜，都擺在它們面前作為馨香的供物。事情就是這樣。這是主耶和華說的。你拿你為我所生的兒女獻給它們吞噬。你的淫亂豈是小事？
