And I will give you into their hands, and they shall throw down your vaulted chamber and break down your lofty places. They shall strip you of your clothes and take your beautiful jewels and leave you naked and bare.

Then I will give you to these many nations who are your lovers, and they will destroy you. They will knock down your pagan shrines and the altars to your idols. They will strip you and take your beautiful jewels, leaving you stark naked.

他們必以憎恨待你，奪去你一切勞碌得來的，留下你赤身露體；你行淫的下體、你的淫蕩和淫亂，都必顯露出來。

藉此，雅各的罪孽才得赦免；他的罪過得以除掉的條件全都在於此，就是他叫祭壇上所有的石頭都變為破碎的灰石，使亞舍拉和香壇不再豎立。

耶和華又說：“因為錫安的女子高傲，走路挺直頸項，媚眼看人，俏步徐行，用腳發出叮噹聲。因此，主必使錫安的女子頭頂長出禿瘡；耶和華又使她們露出前額。”到那日，主必除掉她們華美的腳釧、髮網、月牙圈、耳墜、手鐲、蒙臉的帕子、頭飾、腳環、華帶、香盒、符囊、戒指、鼻環、美服、外衣、錢袋、鏡子、細麻襯衣、頭巾、蒙身帕子。必有腐臭代替馨香，繩子代替腰帶，光禿代替美髮，麻衣繫腰代替美服，烙痕代替美貌。

我使你身穿刺繡的衣裳，腳穿海狗皮鞋；用細麻布給你裹頭；又用絲綢給你披在身上。我用珠寶給你打扮，把手環戴在你手上，把項鍊戴在你頸上，又把鼻環戴在你鼻子上，把耳環戴在你耳朵上，把美麗的冠冕戴在你頭上。這樣你就有了金銀的裝飾，你穿的是細麻、絲綢和刺繡的衣服；你吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油；你實在非常美麗，配登王后的位。你的名聲因你的美麗傳遍列國，你全然美麗，是因為我加在你身上的榮美。這是主耶和華的宣告。“‘可是你倚仗你的美麗，又憑著你的名聲去行淫；你向每一個過路的人縱情淫亂（《馬索拉文本》在本節最後有“而那便成了屬他的”；現參照《七十士譯本》和其他古譯本的較短讀文翻譯）。你拿了你的一些衣服，為自己建造色彩繽紛的邱壇，又在那裡行淫。這樣的事不應發生，將來也不會再出現。你又拿了我送給你那些美麗的金器銀器，為自己鑄造男人的像，與那些像行淫。你又拿你的刺繡衣服，蓋在它們身上，並且把我的油和香料都擺在它們面前。你把我賜給你的食物，就是我給你吃的細麵、油和蜂蜜，都擺在它們面前作馨香的祭物。這是主耶和華的宣告。你更把你的兒女，就是你給我所生的兒女，獻給它們作食物；你所行的淫亂還算是小事嗎？
