我必鞫爾、如鞫背夫流血之婦、以震怒忌嫉所流之血、加於爾身、

我必罰爾、與背夫之婦、殺子之母同科、我怒甚烈、使爾飲刃、

我必罰爾、如罰行淫之婦、及殺人之婦、我必使爾如淫婦為夫所殺、其怒甚烈、雪其忿心、

I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.

I will hand down my sentence against you. You will be punished like women who commit adultery and sacrifice their children to other gods. I am so angry with you. So I will sentence you to death for everything you have done.

And I will judge you as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will punish you for your murder and adultery. I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about the shedding of your blood in jealous wrath.

So I will judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

And I will judge you as women who break wedlock or shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about your bloodshed in wrath and jealousy.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

I will punish you as an adulteress and murderer deserves. I will avenge your bloody deeds with furious rage.

“‘ The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

I will bring distress on men, that they will walk like blind men, because they have sinned against Yahweh, and their blood will be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung.

Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.

Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and give them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives become childless and widows. Let their men be killed and their young men struck by the sword in battle.

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter- in- law,“ Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said,“ Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

About three months later, Judah was told,“ Tamar, your daughter- in- law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said,“ Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.

“ One who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death,

Righteous men will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.“ For the Lord Yahweh says:‘ I will bring up a mob against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.The company will stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords. They will kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.

“‘ Moreover you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death. He shall surely be put to death.

They will also bring up a company against you, and they will stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.

“‘“ Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,that you have slain my children, and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?

I will set my jealousy against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will take away your nose and your ears. Your remnant will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and the rest of you will be devoured by the fire.

For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”

Yahweh is a jealous God and avenges. Yahweh avenges and is full of wrath. Yahweh takes vengeance on his adversaries, and he maintains wrath against his enemies.

‘ The Lord Yahweh says,“ Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them;

They have shed their blood like water around Jerusalem. There was no one to bury them.We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and derision to those who are around us.How long, Yahweh? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?

If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both die, the man who lay with the woman and the woman. So you shall remove the evil from Israel.If there is a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man finds her in the city, and lies with her,then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn’t cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor’s wife. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,they told him,“ Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”
