I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.

我必罰爾、與背夫之婦、殺子之母同科、我怒甚烈、使爾飲刃、

我必罰爾、如罰行淫之婦、及殺人之婦、我必使爾如淫婦為夫所殺、其怒甚烈、雪其忿心、

I will hand down my sentence against you. You will be punished like women who commit adultery and sacrifice their children to other gods. I am so angry with you. So I will sentence you to death for everything you have done.

And I will judge you as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will punish you for your murder and adultery. I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about the shedding of your blood in jealous wrath.

So I will judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

And I will judge you as women who break wedlock or shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about your bloodshed in wrath and jealousy.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

I will punish you as an adulteress and murderer deserves. I will avenge your bloody deeds with furious rage.

“‘ If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife— with the wife of his neighbor— both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.

“ I will bring such distress on all people that they will grope about like those who are blind, because they have sinned against the Lord. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their entrails like dung.

“ Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.

So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle.

Judah then said to his daughter-in-law Tamar,“ Live as a widow in your father’s household until my son Shelah grows up.” For he thought,“ He may die too, just like his brothers.” So Tamar went to live in her father’s household.

About three months later Judah was told,“ Your daughter-in-law Tamar is guilty of prostitution, and as a result she is now pregnant.” Judah said,“ Bring her out and have her burned to death!”

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

“ Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death.

But righteous judges will sentence them to the punishment of women who commit adultery and shed blood, because they are adulterous and blood is on their hands.“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Bring a mob against them and give them over to terror and plunder.The mob will stone them and cut them down with their swords; they will kill their sons and daughters and burn down their houses.

“‘ Do not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer, who deserves to die. They are to be put to death.

They will bring a mob against you, who will stone you and hack you to pieces with their swords.

“‘ And you took your sons and daughters whom you bore to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough?You slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols.

I will direct my jealous anger against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will cut off your noses and your ears, and those of you who are left will fall by the sword. They will take away your sons and daughters, and those of you who are left will be consumed by fire.

for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”

The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you poured out your lust and exposed your naked body in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because you gave them your children’s blood,

They have poured out blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury the dead.We are objects of contempt to our neighbors, of scorn and derision to those around us.How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire?

If a man is found sleeping with another man’s wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her,you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death— the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the groupand said to Jesus,“ Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
