我必鞫爾、如鞫背夫流血之婦、以震怒忌嫉所流之血、加於爾身、

我必罰爾、與背夫之婦、殺子之母同科、我怒甚烈、使爾飲刃、

我必罰爾、如罰行淫之婦、及殺人之婦、我必使爾如淫婦為夫所殺、其怒甚烈、雪其忿心、

I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.

I will hand down my sentence against you. You will be punished like women who commit adultery and sacrifice their children to other gods. I am so angry with you. So I will sentence you to death for everything you have done.

And I will judge you as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will punish you for your murder and adultery. I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about the shedding of your blood in jealous wrath.

And I will judge you as women who break wedlock or shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of wrath and jealousy.

‘ If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.And her husband Joseph, since he was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.

“ He who strikes someone so that he dies shall certainly be put to death.

But they, righteous people, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.“ For this is what the Lord God says:‘ Bring up a contingent against them and turn them over to terror and plunder.The contingent will stone them with stones and cut them down with their swords; they will kill their sons and their daughters and burn their houses with fire.

Moreover, you shall not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer who is condemned to death, but he must be put to death.

They will incite a crowd against you, and they will stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords.

“ Furthermore, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your obscene practices a trivial matter?You slaughtered My children and offered them to idols by making them pass through the fire.

I will set My jealousy against you, so that they may deal with you in wrath. They will remove your nose and your ears; and your survivors will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and your survivors will be consumed by the fire.

for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They deserve it.”

A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.

This is what the Lord God says:“ Because your lewdness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered through your obscene practices with your lovers and with all your detestable idols, and because of the blood of your sons that you gave to idols,

They have poured out their blood like water all around Jerusalem; And there was no one to bury them.We have become a disgrace before our neighbors, An object of derision and ridicule to those around us.How long, Lord? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

“ If a man is found sleeping with a married woman, then both of them shall die, the man who slept with the woman, and the woman; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel.“ If there is a girl who is a virgin betrothed to a man, and another man finds her in the city and sleeps with her,then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and you shall stone them to death: the girl, because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man, because he has violated his neighbor’s wife. So you shall eliminate the evil from among you.

Now the scribes and the Pharisees* brought a woman caught in the act of adultery, and after placing her in the center of the courtyard,they* said to Him,“ Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of committing adultery.Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?”
