我必鞫爾、如鞫背夫流血之婦、以震怒忌嫉所流之血、加於爾身、

我必罰爾、與背夫之婦、殺子之母同科、我怒甚烈、使爾飲刃、

我必罰爾、如罰行淫之婦、及殺人之婦、我必使爾如淫婦為夫所殺、其怒甚烈、雪其忿心、

I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring on you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger.

I will hand down my sentence against you. You will be punished like women who commit adultery and sacrifice their children to other gods. I am so angry with you. So I will sentence you to death for everything you have done.

And I will judge you as women who commit adultery and shed blood are judged, and bring upon you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

I will punish you for your murder and adultery. I will cover you with blood in my jealous fury.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about the shedding of your blood in jealous wrath.

So I will judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

And I will judge you as women who break wedlock or shed blood are judged; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy.

I will judge you the way adulteresses and those who shed blood are judged. Then I will bring about your bloodshed in wrath and jealousy.

I will punish you as an adulteress and murderer deserves. I will avenge your bloody deeds with furious rage.

And the man that committeth adultery with[ another] man’s wife,[ even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their[ blood] by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and[ be] widows; and let their men be put to death;[ let] their young men[ be] slain by the sword in battle.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren[ did]. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she[ is] with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.Then Joseph her husband, being a just[ man], and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured.[ Is this] of thy whoredoms a small matter,That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through[ the fire] for them?

And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

God[ is] jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and[ is] furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth[ wrath] for his enemies.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and[ there was] none to bury[ them].We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die,[ both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.If a damsel[ that is] a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not,[ being] in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
