爾行淫無度、與亞述人私、縱欲無厭、

爾行淫無度、故與亞述人私、大縱厥欲、靡有底止。

爾淫慾無厭、與亞述人行淫、與彼行淫之後、猶不厭足、

You engaged in prostitution with the Assyrians too, because you were insatiable; and even after that, you still were not satisfied.

You also committed shameful acts with the people of Assyria. Nothing ever seemed to satisfy you. You could never get enough.

You played the whore also with the Assyrians, because you were not satisfied; yes, you played the whore with them, and still you were not satisfied.

You have prostituted yourself with the Assyrians, too. It seems you can never find enough new lovers! And after your prostitution there, you still were not satisfied.

Then you engaged in prostitution with the Assyrian men because you were not satisfied. Even though you did this with them, you were still not satisfied.

Moreover, you committed prostitution with the Assyrians because you were not satisfied; you committed prostitution with them and still were not satisfied.

You also played the harlot with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; indeed you played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied.

Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet thou wast not satisfied.

Then you engaged in prostitution with the Assyrian men because you were not satisfied. Even though you did this with them, you were still not satisfied.

Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

You engaged in prostitution with the Assyrians because your sexual desires were insatiable; you prostituted yourself with them and yet you were still not satisfied.

You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren’t satisfied.

亞哈斯派使者到亞述王提革拉‧毗列色那裏，說：「我是你的僕人，你的兒子。現在亞蘭王和以色列王攻擊我，求你上來，救我脫離他們的手。」

人必將牛犢帶到亞述，當作禮物獻給大王。以法蓮必蒙羞，以色列必因自己的計謀慚愧。

亞哈斯王到大馬士革迎接亞述王提革拉‧毗列色，在大馬士革看見一座壇。亞哈斯王把壇的規模和樣式，以及作法的細節，送到烏利亞祭司那裏。烏利亞祭司照着亞哈斯王從大馬士革所送來的一切，在亞哈斯王還未從大馬士革回來之前，築了一座壇。王從大馬士革回來，看見壇，走近壇前，在壇上獻祭。他燒燔祭和素祭，獻澆酒祭，將平安祭牲的血灑在壇上。他移動耶和華面前的銅壇，從殿的前面，新壇和耶和華殿的中間，搬到新壇的北邊。亞哈斯王吩咐烏利亞祭司說：「早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭，王的燔祭、素祭，國內眾百姓的燔祭、素祭、澆酒祭都要燒在大壇上。燔祭牲和其他祭牲的血全都要灑在這壇上。至於銅壇，我要作求問之用。」烏利亞祭司就照着亞哈斯王所吩咐的一切做了。亞哈斯王把盆座四面的嵌邊拆下來，把盆從座上挪下來，又將銅海從馱銅海的銅牛上搬下來，放在石板鋪的地上。他為了亞述王的緣故，在耶和華的殿裏移動殿裏為安息日所蓋的遮棚和王從外面進來的入口。

現今你為何在埃及路上喝西曷河的水呢？為何在亞述路上喝大河的水呢？

你為何東奔西跑改變你的道路呢？你必因埃及蒙羞，像從前因亞述蒙羞一樣。

他向那攻擊他的大馬士革的神明獻祭，說：「因為亞蘭王的神明幫助他們，我也要向這些神明獻祭，好讓它們幫助我。」但那些神明卻使他和全以色列敗亡。

以色列人又行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，去事奉諸巴力和亞斯她錄，以及亞蘭的神明、西頓的神明、摩押的神明、亞捫人的神明、非利士人的神明。他們離棄耶和華，不事奉他。

亞述王提革拉‧毗列色來攻擊他，不幫助他，反倒欺負他。亞哈斯從耶和華殿裏和王宮中，以及眾領袖家中取財寶送給亞述王，也無濟於事。

那時，亞哈斯王派人去求亞述諸王來幫助他，

她戀慕亞述人，就是省長和副省長，披掛整齊的戰士，騎着馬的騎士，全都是俊美的年輕人。我看見她被污辱，姊妹二人同行一路。阿荷利巴又加增淫行，她看見牆上刻有人像，就是鮮紅色的迦勒底人雕刻的像。它們腰間繫着帶子，頭上有飄揚的裹頭巾，都是將軍的樣子，巴比倫人的形像；迦勒底是他們的出生地。阿荷利巴一看見就戀慕他們，派遣使者往迦勒底他們那裏去。巴比倫人來到她那裏，上了她愛情的床，與她行淫污辱她。她被污辱，隨後她的心卻與他們生疏。這樣，她既暴露淫行，暴露下體；我的心就與她生疏，像先前與她的姊姊生疏一樣。她仍繼續增添淫行，追念她年輕時在埃及地行淫的日子，戀慕情人的身壯精足，如驢似馬。這樣，你就渴望年輕時的淫蕩；那時，埃及人因你年輕時的胸懷，撫弄你的乳房。」

「阿荷拉歸我之後卻仍行淫，戀慕所愛的人，就是亞述人，都是戰士，穿着藍衣，作省長、副省長，全都是俊美的年輕人，騎着馬的騎士。阿荷拉與亞述人中所有的美男子放縱淫行，她因拜所戀慕之人的一切偶像，玷污了自己。她從埃及的時候，就沒有離開過淫亂；因為她年輕時，有人與她同寢，撫弄她少女的乳房，和她縱慾行淫。因此，我把她交在她所愛的人手中，就是她所戀慕的亞述人手中。
