他们要将银子抛在街上，金子看如污秽之物。当耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银不能救他们，不能使心里知足，也不能使肚腹饱满，因为这金银作了他们罪孽的绊脚石。论到耶和华妆饰华美的殿，他建立得威严，他们却在其中制造可憎可厌的偶像，所以这殿我使他们看如污秽之物。

又用妆饰打扮你，将镯子戴在你手上，将金链戴在你项上。

阿荷利巴又加增淫行，因她看见人像画在墙上，就是用丹色所画迦勒底人的像，腰间系着带子，头上有下垂的裹头巾，都是军长的形状，仿照巴比伦人的形像；他们的故土就是迦勒底。阿荷利巴一看见就贪恋他们，打发使者往迦勒底去见他们。巴比伦人就来登她爱情的床，与她行淫玷污她。她被玷污，随后心里与他们生疏。这样，她显露淫行，又显露下体；我心就与她生疏，像先前与她姐姐生疏一样。她还加增她的淫行，追念她幼年在埃及地行邪淫的日子，贪恋情人身壮精足，如驴如马。这样，你就想起你幼年的淫行。那时，埃及人拥抱你的怀，抚摸你的乳。”

以色列是茂盛的葡萄树，结果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭坛；地土越肥美，就越造美丽的柱像。

因以色列轻忽了她的淫乱，和石头木头行淫，地就被玷污了。

我必追讨她素日给诸巴力烧香的罪；那时她佩带耳环和别样妆饰，随从她所爱的，却忘记我。这是耶和华说的。”

谁心里也不醒悟，也没有知识，没有聪明，能说：“我曾拿一份在火中烧了，在炭火上烤过饼；我也烤过肉吃。这剩下的，我岂要作可憎的物吗？我岂可向木墩子叩拜呢？”他以灰为食，心中昏迷，使他偏邪，他不能自救，也不能说：“我右手中岂不是有虚谎吗？”

你在高而又高的山上安设床榻，也上那里去献祭。你在门后，在门框后，立起你的纪念；向外人赤露，又上去扩张床榻，与他们立约；你在那里看见他们的床就甚喜爱。
