And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.

You were so beautiful that your fame spread among the nations. The glory I had given you made your beauty perfect,” announces the Lord and King.

And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor that I had bestowed on you, declares the Lord God.

凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。

上帝賦所羅門以智慧、天下億兆、咸求見焉。

爾為師、誰令爾大過人乎、爾未受時、原無所有、則受之後、何誇為固有、

至吉甲營、見約書亞以色列族曰、我儕自遠方來、請與立約。以色列族謂自基遍來之希未人、曰、恐爾居處離我不遠、焉能與爾立約。曰、我儕願為爾僕。約書亞曰、爾曹何人、奚自。對曰、僕所自來、其地甚遠、我儕聞爾上帝耶和華之名、知其所行於埃及、

謂其人曰、耶和華曾以此地錫爾、我所素知、斯土之人懼爾、甚至喪膽、爾出埃及時、耶和華使紅海水涸、約但東亞摩哩王西宏及噩、為爾殲滅、我所風聞。我聞之喪膽、毫無銳氣、不敢敵爾、蓋爾上帝耶和華、乃天上地下之上帝、

粵稽往古、自上帝造人、迄於今日、由天涯至地極、除爾之外、曾亦聞上帝之言由火中出、人聽其聲尚能生存者乎、曠觀斯世、果有若此之大事乎。

爾守此法、則可為智、四方之民聞此禮儀、必曰斯民昌大、智慧俱備、豈有他民、若是昌大、得上帝左右之、猶我上帝耶和華之左右我、而允我所祈乎。豈有他民、獲法度禮儀、如是之善、如我今日所示爾者乎、

推羅王希蘭致書所羅門、曰、耶和華愛斯民、故立爾為王。又曰、當頌讚造天地者、以色列族之上帝耶和華、賜大闢王賢子、賦以智慧、能建耶和華殿、及王宮室。

上帝賦所羅門智慧、天下列王、咸求見焉。

示巴女王、聞耶和華與所羅門之名、遄征而往、欲以言難王。僕從甚眾、有駝載芬芳之品、以及金玉、難以悉計、既至耶路撒冷入覲所羅門、以己意詰之。所羅門隨問而答、無所不知、明晰以告。示巴女王、見所羅門智慧具備、又觀其所建之殿、筵席臚陳、僕役班列、臣工酒正、衣朝服而侍、及耶和華殿所奉之燔祭、則神為之奪、告王曰、彼邑聞爾作為、與爾智慧、其言不虛、我初不信、及我涖臨、目擊斯事、乃知所聞、猶不及所見之半也。爾之智慧全備、較我所聞者、尤覺其多、爾群臣、爾僕役、恆侍於爾前、聞爾智慧、甚有福祉。當頌美爾之上帝耶和華、以爾為悅、使繼國位、耶和華恆愛以色列族、使爾為王、秉厥公義、以聽其訟。示巴女王、饋所羅門金十八萬、以及寶石、更獻芬芳之品、不可勝數、前此未有若是之多也。希蘭之舟、自阿妃載金、與寶石、檀木、不可悉數。自昔以來未見若此之檀木。王以之作闌、飾耶和華殿、及王宮、又作琴鼗、為謳歌者所用。所羅門王以物饋示巴女王、更任其所欲、無論何求、皆以遺贈、厥後女王、與其臣僕返國。
