And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.

You were so beautiful that your fame spread among the nations. The glory I had given you made your beauty perfect,” announces the Lord and King.

All that pass by clap[ their] hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem,[ saying, Is] this the city that[ men] call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?

And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

For who maketh thee to differ[ from another]? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive[ it], why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received[ it]?

And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?And they said unto Joshua, We[ are] thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who[ are] ye? and from whence come ye?And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that[ were] on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.And as soon as we had heard[ these things], our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he[ is] God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and[ ask] from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been[ any such thing] as this great thing[ is], or hath been heard like it?Did[ ever] people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?Or hath God assayed to go[ and] take him a nation from the midst of[ another] nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he[ is] God;[ there is] none else beside him.Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou[ art], to bring thee in, to give thee their land[ for] an inheritance, as[ it is] this day.

Keep therefore and do[ them]; for this[ is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation[ is] a wise and understanding people.For what nation[ is there so] great, who[ hath] God[ so] nigh unto them, as the LORD our God[ is] in all[ things that] we call upon him[ for]?And what nation[ is there so] great, that hath statutes and judgments[ so] righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.Huram said moreover, Blessed[ be] the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.

And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not[ any] thing hid from the king, which he told her not.And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built,And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen[ it]: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.Happy[ are] thy men, happy[ are] these thy servants, which stand continually before thee,[ and] that hear thy wisdom.Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king’s house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside[ that] which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.
