耶和华使他驰骋在地的高处，他吃田间的出产；耶和华使他从岩石中吃蜜，从坚石中吸油，也吃牛的乳酪、羊的奶、羔羊的脂肪，巴珊所出的公绵羊和山羊，和上好的麦子。你要喝葡萄汁酿的美酒。

你们要举目观看从北方来的人。先前赐给你的羊群，就是你所引以为荣的羊，现今在哪里呢？

撒母耳拿一瓶膏油倒在扫罗的头上，亲吻他，说：“耶和华岂不是膏你作他产业的君王吗？

凡过路的都向你拍掌。他们向耶路撒冷嗤笑，摇头：“这就是人称为全美的、称为全地所喜悦的城吗？”

你美貌的名声传到列国，因我加给你荣华，使你完美。这是主耶和华说的。“只是你仗着自己美貌，又凭着你的名声行淫。你向路人纵情淫乱，你的美貌就属于他的了。

我们那神圣华美的殿，就是我们祖先赞美你的地方，已被火焚烧；我们所羡慕的美地尽都荒芜。

我必使你生养极其繁多；国度要从你而立，君王要从你而出。

你把我赐给你的食物，就是我赐给你享用的细面、油和蜂蜜，都摆在它们面前作为馨香的供物。事情就是这样。这是主耶和华说的。

那地有小麦、大麦、葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树，那地也有橄榄油和蜂蜜。

他们这样回答我们说：‘我们是天和地之上帝的仆人，重建多年前所建造的殿，就是以色列一位伟大的君王建造完成的。

你们见亚扪人的王拿辖来攻击你们，就对我说：‘不，要有一个王治理我们。’其实耶和华—你们的上帝是你们的王。

他使你境内平安，用上好的麦子使你满足。

也曾有强大的君王治理耶路撒冷，统管河西全地，人就给他们进贡、纳粮、缴税。

大卫作全以色列的王，又向众百姓秉公行义。
