我們那聖潔、華美的殿——我們祖先頌讚你的地方已被焚毀，我們珍愛的一切都被摧毀。

我要使你的子孫極其興旺，許多民族和君王必從你而出。

你把我賜你吃的細麵粉、油和蜂蜜作為馨香的供物奉獻在他們面前。這是主耶和華說的。

那裡盛產大麥、小麥、葡萄、無花果、石榴、橄欖油和蜂蜜；

「他們回答說，『我們是天地之上帝的僕人，我們正在重建這座多年前由以色列的一位偉大君王建造的殿。

可是你們看到亞捫王拿轄來攻擊你們，就對我說，『不行，我們要有一個王來統治我們。』其實你們的上帝耶和華就是你們的王。

祂使你四境平安，飽享上好的麥子。

強大的君王曾經統管耶路撒冷和幼發拉底河西全境，並向人們徵收貢物和賦稅。

大衛統治全以色列，他秉公行義治理百姓。
