I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord.

The face of the LORD is set against those who do what is evil, to remove all memory of them from the earth.

I will turn against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even though no one is pursuing you.

For I have set my face against this city to bring disaster and not good— this is the LORD’s declaration. It will be handed over to the king of Babylon, who will burn it.’

The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.

Panic, pit, and trap await you, resident of Moab. This is the LORD’s declaration.He who flees from the panic will fall in the pit, and he who climbs from the pit will be captured in the trap, for I will bring against Moab the year of their punishment. This is the LORD’s declaration.
