I will set my face against them and make them an example and a byword. I will remove them from my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

I will turn against them. I will make an example out of them. People will talk about the bad things that happen to them. I will remove them from you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

「所以萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：我必向你們變臉降災，以致剪除猶大眾人。

你在耶和華領你到的各國中，要令人驚駭、笑談、譏誚。

你們必留下自己的名，為我選民指着賭咒。主耶和華必殺你們，另起別名稱呼他的僕人。

被殺的人必倒在你們中間，你們就知道我是耶和華。

「凡以色列家中的人，或是寄居在他們中間的外人，若吃甚麼血，我必向那吃血的人變臉，把他從民中剪除。

他們遭遇這些事都要作為鑑戒，並且寫在經上，正是警戒我們這末世的人。

你要對他們說：你們世世代代的後裔，凡身上有污穢、親近以色列人所分別為聖、歸耶和華聖物的，那人必在我面前剪除。我是耶和華。

我必使他們交出來，在天下萬國中拋來拋去，遭遇災禍；在我趕逐他們到的各處成為凌辱、笑談、譏刺、咒詛。

耶和華向行惡的人變臉，要從世上除滅他們的名號。

可見，神的恩慈和嚴厲向那跌倒的人是嚴厲的，向你是有恩慈的，只要你長久在他的恩慈裏；不然，你也要被砍下來。

你使我們受鄰國的羞辱，被四圍的人嗤笑譏刺。你使我們在列邦中作了笑談，使眾民向我們搖頭。

蒙耶和華賜福的必承受地土；被他咒詛的必被剪除。

地便開口吞了他們，和可拉、可拉的黨類一同死亡。那時火燒滅了二百五十個人；他們就作了警戒。

住巴比倫一切被擄的猶大人必藉這二人賭咒說：『願耶和華使你像巴比倫王在火中燒的西底家和亞哈一樣。』

你們就不再見虛假的異象，也不再行占卜的事；我必救我的百姓脫離你們的手；你們就知道我是耶和華。」

「但那污穢而不潔淨自己的，要將他從會中剪除，因為他玷污了耶和華的聖所。除污穢的水沒有灑在他身上，他是不潔淨的。

我也要向那人變臉，把他從民中剪除；因為他把兒女獻給摩洛，玷污我的聖所，褻瀆我的聖名。那人把兒女獻給摩洛，本地人若佯為不見，不把他治死，我就要向這人和他的家變臉，把他和一切隨他與摩洛行邪淫的人都從民中剪除。「人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的，隨他們行邪淫，我要向那人變臉，把他從民中剪除。

我要向你們變臉，你們就要敗在仇敵面前。恨惡你們的，必轄管你們；無人追趕，你們卻要逃跑。

耶和華說：我向這城變臉，降禍不降福；這城必交在巴比倫王的手中，他必用火焚燒。』」
