I will set my face against them and make them an example and a byword. I will remove them from my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

I will turn against them. I will make an example out of them. People will talk about the bad things that happen to them. I will remove them from you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

And I will set my face against that man; I will make him a sign and a byword and cut him off from the midst of my people, and you shall know that I am the Lord.

I will turn against such people and make a terrible example of them, eliminating them from among my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

「在耶和華驅逐你們去的列國，你們的下場將很可怕，受盡嘲笑和譏諷。

我的選民必用你們的名字作咒詛，主耶和華必殺死你們，給祂的僕人另起名字。

被殺的人必橫屍你們中間，你們就知道我是耶和華。

「任何以色列人或寄居在以色列人中間的外族人若吃血，耶和華必嚴懲，把他從民中剷除。

發生在他們身上的這些事都是鑑戒，之所以記錄下來是為了警戒我們這活在末世的人。

把以下條例告訴他們。「你們的後代中，如果有人不潔淨，卻接近以色列人獻給我的聖物，必須把他從我面前剷除。我是耶和華。

使他們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。在我流放他們去的地方，他們必受凌辱、嘲笑、譏諷和咒詛。

耶和華嚴懲作惡之人，從世上剷除他們。

可見，上帝既慈愛又嚴厲。祂對墮落的人是嚴厲的，對你卻是慈愛的。你要常常活在祂的愛中，不然你也會被砍下來。

你使我們遭四鄰辱罵，被周圍人譏諷、嘲笑。你使我們成為列國的笑柄，人們對我們連連搖頭。

蒙耶和華賜福的人必承受土地，被耶和華咒詛的人必遭剷除。

以致大地裂開將他們全部吞了下去，當時大火還燒滅了二百五十人——成了後人的警戒。

被擄到巴比倫的猶大人咒詛人的時候會說，「願耶和華使你的下場像被巴比倫王燒死的西底迦和亞哈一樣！」

因此，你們必不再見假異象，也不再占卜。我必從你們手中拯救我的子民。這樣，你們就知道我是耶和華。』」

若有人沾了污穢卻沒有用除穢水自潔，他就不潔淨，要將他從會眾中剷除，因為他玷污了耶和華的聖所。

我也必嚴懲那人，將他從民中剷除。因為他把子女獻給摩洛，玷污我的聖所，褻瀆我的聖名。如果那地方的人對此置之不理，沒有處死那人，我必嚴懲那人一家，從民中剷除他和那些追隨他與摩洛苟合的人。如果有人求問靈媒或巫師，與他們苟合，我必嚴懲，將他從民中剷除。

我要嚴懲你們，使你們敗在敵人手下；你們要被那些恨你們的人統治，即使沒有人追趕，你們也要逃命。

我必嚴懲這城，向它降禍不降福。它必落在巴比倫王手中，被付之一炬。這是耶和華說的。』
