For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who reside in Israel, who deserts Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet to request something of Me for himself, I the Lord will let Myself answer him Myself.

因为以色列人或是在以色列定居的外族人若背弃我，在心中树立偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，又来向先知求问我的旨意，我耶和华必亲自用惩罚回答他。

因为以色列家的人中，或是在以色列寄居的外族人中，凡与我疏远，把他们的偶像接到心里去，把那陷自己在罪孽中的绊脚石放在自己面前，却又来见先知，要为自己求问我的，我耶和华必亲自报应他；

因為以色列家的人，或在以色列中寄居的外人，凡與我隔絕，將他的假神接到心裏，把陷於罪的絆腳石放在面前，又就了先知來要為自己的事求問我的，我－耶和華必親自回答他。

因為以色列家的人中，或是在以色列寄居的外族人中，凡與我疏遠，把他們的偶像接到心裡去，把那陷自己在罪孽中的絆腳石放在自己面前，卻又來見先知，要為自己求問我的，我耶和華必親自報應他；

因為以色列家的人或是在以色列中寄居的外國僑民，凡跟我疏遠、將他的偶像接上心頭，把陷於他罪孽中的因由放在自己面前，又前來見神言人、要為自己的事向我求問的，我必親自應付他；

以色列家人、及旅以色列中之外人、凡離我而納其偶像於心、置陷罪之窒礙於前、而詣先知、諮諏於我者、我耶和華必自應之、

凡以色列族、及旅其中之異邦人、背我而奉偶像、中則崇敬之、外則瞻禮之、自陷於惡、後就先知諮諏於我、我耶和華必罰之、降災於其身、絕之於民中、為人作歌譏刺、使知我乃耶和華。

凡以色列族之人、及居以色列中之他邦客旅、若離棄我、心念其偶像、以陷己於罪之物、置於目前、後又就先知、欲藉之求問我、我耶和華必親斥之、必親斥之或作豈應之乎

“‘ When any of the Israelites or any foreigner residing in Israel separate themselves from me and set up idols in their hearts and put a wicked stumbling block before their faces and then go to a prophet to inquire of me, I the Lord will answer them myself.

“‘ “Suppose any of the Israelites or any outsiders who live in Israel separate themselves from me. And they think about other gods. They fall into the evil trap of worshiping them. Then they go to a prophet to ask me for advice. If they do, I myself will tell the prophet to answer them.

For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, who separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, I the Lord will answer him myself.

I, the Lord, will answer all those, both Israelites and foreigners, who reject me and set up idols in their hearts and so fall into sin, and who then come to a prophet asking for my advice.

For when anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside in Israel separates himself from me, setting up idols in his heart and putting his sinful stumbling block in front of himself, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of me, I, the LORD, will answer him myself.

For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the Lord will answer him by Myself.

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that separateth himself from me, and taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Jehovah will answer him by myself:

For when anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in Israel separates himself from Me, setting up idols in his heart and putting a sinful stumbling block before his face, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me, I, Yahweh, will answer him Myself.

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

For when anyone from the house of Israel, or the foreigner who lives in Israel, separates himself from me and erects his idols in his heart and sets the obstacle leading to his iniquity before his face, and then consults a prophet to seek something from me, I the LORD am determined to answer him personally.

“‘“ For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me, and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Yahweh will answer him by myself.

But if a stranger resides with you and celebrates the Passover to the Lord, all of his males are to be circumcised, and then he shall come near to celebrate it; and he shall be like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised male may eat it.

but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you.

“ Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their wrongdoing, And to the house of Jacob their sins.Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.

This is what the Lord says:‘ Do not deceive yourselves, saying,“ The Chaldeans will certainly go away from us,” for they will not go.For even if you had defeated the entire army of Chaldeans who were fighting against you, and there were only wounded men left among them, each man in his tent, they would rise up and burn this city with fire.’ ”

“ Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts and have put in front of their faces the stumbling block of their wrongdoing. Should I let Myself be consulted by them at all?Therefore speak to them and tell them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Anyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet, I the Lord will let Myself answer him in the matter in view of the multitude of his idols,

Now King Zedekiah sent men and took him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him and said,“ Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is!” Then he said,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon!”

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. But they came to Baal peor and devoted themselves to shame, And they became as detestable as that which they loved.

“ But as for you, son of man, your fellow citizens who talk with one another about you by the walls and in the doorways of the houses, speak one with another, each with his brother, saying,‘ Come now and hear what the message is that comes from the Lord.’And they come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them; for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart follows their unlawful gain.And behold, you are to them like a love song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words but they do not practice them.

There shall be only one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the Lord your God.’ ”

And the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift in your hand and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”So Hazael went to meet him and took a gift in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ loads; and he came and stood before him and said,“ Your son Ben hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”Then Elisha said to him,“ Go, say to him,‘ You will certainly recover’; but the Lord has shown me that he will certainly die.”And he stared steadily at him until Hazael was embarrassed, and then the man of God wept.And Hazael said,“ Why is my lord weeping?” And he answered,“ Because I know the evil that you will do to the sons of Israel: you will set their fortified cities on fire, you will kill their young men with the sword, their little ones you will smash to pieces, and you will rip up their pregnant women.”Then Hazael said,“ But what is your servant— a lowly dog— that he could do this great thing?” And Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you will be king over Aram.”So he left Elisha and came to his master, who said to him,“ What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered,“ He told me that you would certainly recover.”But on the following day, he took the cover and dipped it in water, and spread it over his face, so that he died. And Hazael became king in his place.

These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly minded, devoid of the Spirit.

As for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who resides among you, a permanent statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying,“ Please inquire of the Lord in our behalf, because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us; perhaps the Lord will deal with us in accordance with all His wonderful acts, so that the enemy will withdraw from us.”

For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who reside in Israel, who deserts Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet to request something of Me for himself, I the Lord will let Myself answer him Myself.I will set My face against that person and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will eliminate him from among My people. So you will know that I am the Lord.

You shall have one law for the native among the sons of Israel and for the stranger who resides among them, for one who does anything wrong unintentionally.

“ This shall be a permanent statute for you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble yourselves and not do any work, whether the native, or the stranger who resides among you;

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, Or your brides when they commit adultery, Because the men themselves slip away with the prostitutes And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.

Now Zedekiah the son of Josiah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had made king in the land of Judah, reigned as king in place of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim.But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land listened to the words of the Lord which He spoke through Jeremiah the prophet.Yet King Zedekiah sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and the priest Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, to Jeremiah the prophet, saying,“ Please pray to the Lord our God in our behalf.”

“ You shall also say to the sons of Israel:‘ Anyone from the sons of Israel or from the strangers residing in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech, shall certainly be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

Then King Zedekiah sent word and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance that is in the house of the Lord; and the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am going to ask you something; do not hide anything from me.”And Jeremiah said to Zedekiah,“ If I tell you, will you not certainly put me to death? Besides, if I give you advice, you will not listen to me.”But King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in secret, saying,“ As the Lord lives, who made this life for us, I certainly will not put you to death, nor will I hand you over to these men who are seeking your life.”So Jeremiah said to Zedekiah,“ This is what the Lord God of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ If you will indeed surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then you will live, this city will not be burned with fire, and you and your household will survive.But if you do not surrender to the officers of the king of Babylon, then this city will be handed over to the Chaldeans; and they will burn it with fire, and you yourself will not escape from their hands.’ ”Then King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am in fear of the Jews who have deserted to the Chaldeans, for they may hand me over to them, and they will abuse me.”But Jeremiah said,“ They will not turn you over. Please obey the Lord in what I am saying to you, so that it may go well for you and you may live.But if you keep refusing to surrender, this is the word which the Lord has shown me:‘ Behold, all of the women who have been left in the palace of the king of Judah are going to be brought out to the officers of the king of Babylon; and those women will say,“ Your close friends Have misled and overpowered you; While your feet were sunk in the mire, They turned back.”They are also going to bring out all your wives and your sons to the Chaldeans, and you yourself will not escape from their hand, but will be seized by the hand of the king of Babylon, and this city will be burned with fire.’ ”
