Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

Then the people of Israel will no longer wander away from me. And they will not make themselves‘ unclean’ anymore with their many sins. They will be my people. And I will be their God,” ’ announces the Lord and King.”

They will not defile themselves anymore with their idols, their abhorrent things, and all their transgressions. I will save them from all their apostasies by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.

It is for the consecrated priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge and did not go astray as the Levites did when the Israelites went astray.

Surely the Levites who wandered away from me when Israel went astray, and who strayed from me after their idols, will bear the consequences of their iniquity.

“ When they arrive there, they will remove all its abhorrent acts and detestable practices from it.I will give them integrity of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,so that they will follow my statutes, keep my ordinances, and practice them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

which I commanded your ancestors when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace.” I declared,“ Obey me, and do everything that I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God,”

“ But the Levitical priests descended from Zadok, who kept charge of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, will approach me to serve me. They will stand before me to offer me fat and blood.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

“ Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”— the LORD’s declaration.“ I will put my teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.

But they now desire a better place— a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

The leaders of the people mislead them, and those they mislead are swallowed up.

I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.You will live in the land that I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and I will not bring famine on you.

I will put this third through the fire; I will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say,‘ They are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is our God.’”

They have gone astray by abandoning the straight path and have followed the path of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of wickedness

My people were lost sheep; their shepherds led them astray, guiding them the wrong way in the mountains. They wandered from mountain to hill; they forgot their resting place.

“‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am against the shepherds. I will demand my flock from them and prevent them from shepherding the flock. The shepherds will no longer feed themselves, for I will rescue my flock from their mouths so that they will not be food for them.“‘ For this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I myself will search for my flock and look for them.As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for my flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and total darkness.I will bring them out from the peoples, gather them from the countries, and bring them to their own soil. I will shepherd them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the land.I will tend them in good pasture, and their grazing place will be on Israel’s lofty mountains. There they will lie down in a good grazing place; they will feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.I will tend my flock and let them lie down. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bandage the injured, and strengthen the weak, but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will shepherd them with justice.“‘ As for you, my flock, the Lord GOD says this: Look, I am going to judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and goats.Isn’t it enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of the pasture with your feet? Or isn’t it enough that you drink the clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?Yet my flock has to feed on what your feet have trampled, and drink what your feet have muddied.“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.Since you have pushed with flank and shoulder and butted all the weak ones with your horns until you scattered them all over,I will save my flock. They will no longer be prey, and I will judge between one sheep and another.I will establish over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David will be a prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken.“‘ I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate dangerous creatures from the land, so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the forest.I will make them and the area around my hill a blessing: I will send down showers in their season; they will be showers of blessing.The trees of the field will yield their fruit, and the land will yield its produce; my flock will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the LORD when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the power of those who enslave them.They will no longer be prey for the nations, and the wild creatures of the earth will not consume them. They will live securely, and no one will frighten them.I will establish for them a place renowned for its agriculture, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land. They will no longer endure the insults of the nations.Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.You are my flock, the human flock of my pasture, and I am your God. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’”

All Israel will hear and be afraid, and they will no longer do anything evil like this among you.

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.

My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

Therefore, this is what the LORD of Armies says concerning the prophets: I am about to feed them wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land.

Then everyone else will hear and be afraid, and they will never again do anything evil like this among you.
