我不使義人傷心，你們卻以謊話使他傷心，又堅固惡人的手，使他不回頭離開惡道得以救活。

因為你們弄虛假事叫義人灰心（並不是我使他灰心），你們又加強惡人的手，使他不回轉離開壞行徑以救活自己，

作善者流、我不使之殷憂、爾述妄誕、使彼中心戚戚、維彼惡人、爾言必生、使心剛愎、恆作惡事、終不悛改、

惟彼善人、我不使之憂、爾言妄誕、使彼中心憂戚、又使惡人膽敢不忌、俾不離惡道、不得生存、

Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives,

I had not made godly people sad. But when you told them lies, you made them lose all hope. You advised sinful people not to turn from their evil ways. You did not want them to save their lives.

Because you have disheartened the righteous falsely, although I have not grieved him, and you have encouraged the wicked, that he should not turn from his evil way to save his life,

You have discouraged the righteous with your lies, but I didn’t want them to be sad. And you have encouraged the wicked by promising them life, even though they continue in their sins.

Because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies( when I intended no distress), and because you have supported the wicked person so that he does not turn from his evil way to save his life,

Because you disheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him pain, but you have encouraged the wicked not to turn from his wicked way to keep him alive,

“ Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life.

Because with lies ye have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad, and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive;

Because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies, even though I have not caused him grief, and because you have encouraged the wicked person not to turn from his evil way to save his life,

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

This is because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies( although I have not grieved him), and because you have encouraged the wicked person not to turn from his evil conduct and preserve his life.

Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.

耶路撒冷之先知、所行可憎、我亦見之、縱淫亂、行虛誕、而堅惡人之手、致令無人轉離其惡、彼於我前如所多瑪、其民若蛾摩拉、○

彼恆謂藐我者曰、耶和華云、爾必綏安、謂徇己心之剛愎者曰、災不及於爾身、

諭之曰、巡耶路撒冷城、凡緣邑中所行可惡之事、欷歔哭泣者、則印誌於其顙、

此即以色列之先知、彼指耶路撒冷預言、為之得平康之啟示、實無平康、主耶和華言之矣、○

我則曰、噫、主耶和華歟、諸先知語民曰、爾必不罹鋒刃、不遭饑饉、耶和華必於斯土、錫爾久安、耶和華諭我曰、諸先知託我名而妄言、我未遣之、未命之、未諭之、彼之所傳、乃虛偽之啟示、無憑之卜筮、妄誕之言詞、己心之詭詐、故耶和華論託其名而預言之先知曰、我未遣之、彼曰、鋒刃饑饉、必不及於斯土、惟彼先知、必為鋒刃饑饉所滅、聽其預言之民、暨厥妻室子女、必因鋒刃饑饉、擲於耶路撒冷之衢、無瘞之者、我必以其罪惡歸於其身、爾其以是言語之曰、我目流涕、晝夜不息、我民處女、大見摧殘、而受重傷、

我曰、噫、主耶和華歟、爾欺斯民、及耶路撒冷甚矣、謂之曰、爾曹必獲安康、而刃乃害其命、

彼醫我民之傷、畧而為之、曰、平康平康、實無平康、

蓋其言矜誇虛誕、由形軀之慾、以淫邪誘惑甫脫妄行者、許之以自由、而己則為邪慝之奴、蓋為其所勝者、即為其奴也、

如惡人悛改所犯之罪、守我典章、循法合理、必得生存、不至死亡、

故耶和華曰、我必屏爾於地、因爾出言悖逆耶和華、今歲必死、

蛇曰、爾未必死、蓋上帝知爾食之日、爾目必明、將如上帝、能辨善惡、

論眾先知、我心憂傷、我骨震動、因耶和華、及其聖言之故、我若醉人、為酒所困、

我目流涕、至於失明、中心慘怛、肝膽墜地、以我民女遭滅兮、孩提及哺乳者、昏於邑衢兮、如受創者、昏於邑衢兮、在於母懷、喪失厥魂兮、維時謂其母曰、穀酒安在兮、耶路撒冷女歟、我將何以證爾、何以譬爾兮、郇之處女歟、我將何以比爾、使爾得慰兮、爾之破壞、大若滄海、孰能療爾兮、爾之先知所傳啟示、惟偽惟愚兮、未表爾罪、反爾俘囚兮、第宣偽詔、及爾被徙之由兮、

我若謂惡人曰、爾必死、而彼轉離其惡、循法合理、反所受之質、償所刦之物、遵行生命之典章、不復為惡、則必得生、不致死亡、彼所犯之罪、俱不見憶、彼既循法合理、則必得生、

彼醫我民女之傷、畧而為之、曰、平康平康、實無平康、

故耶和華曰、我必罰尼希蘭人示瑪雅、爰及苗裔、蓋彼出言悖逆耶和華、必無一人生存、居於民中、亦不得見我所將錫我民之福、耶和華言之矣、

彼先知告爾曰、爾必不至服事巴比倫王、勿聽之、彼之預言、乃妄誕也、耶和華曰、我未遣之、彼託我名而言誑、致我驅爾而出、使爾與語爾之先知偕亡、我亦告祭司與庶民曰、耶和華云、爾之先知告爾曰、耶和華室之器、未幾必反自巴比倫、勿聽之、彼之預言、乃妄誕也、勿聽焉、宜事巴比倫王、而得生存、何使斯邑荒蕪哉、
