然后对这地方的人说，‘关于耶路撒冷和以色列的居民，主耶和华这样说，他们必焦虑不安地吃饭，惶恐不已地喝水，他们的土地必因其中居民的暴行而荒无人烟。

你要对这地的人民说：‘论到耶路撒冷的居民和以色列地，主耶和华这样说：他们要满心忧虑地吃他们的饭，十分惊惶地喝他们的水；因为所有居民的强暴，这地必全然荒凉。

你要對這地的百姓說：主耶和華論耶路撒冷和以色列地的居民如此說，他們吃飯必憂慮，喝水必驚惶。因其中居住的眾人所行強暴的事，這地必然荒廢，一無所存。

你要對這地的人民說：‘論到耶路撒冷的居民和以色列地，主耶和華這樣說：他們要滿心憂慮地吃他們的飯，十分驚惶地喝他們的水；因為所有居民的強暴，這地必全然荒涼。

你要對這地的平民說：主永恆主論以色列地耶路撒冷的居民、是這麼說的：他們必懷着掛慮的心情喫他們的飯，必驚慌慌地喝他們的水；因其中居住的眾人所行強暴的事、這地必荒涼、失掉其豐滿。

告斯土之民曰、主耶和華論耶路撒冷居民、及以色列地云、彼必憂懼食餅、驚駭飲水、斯土荒蕪、失其所有、因居民強暴故也、

告斯土之民曰、主耶和華言、耶路撒冷邑、及以色列居民、虐遇斯眾、致地荒蕪、食餅飲水、不敢少過、中心危懼、

告斯地之民曰、主天主論耶路撒冷、及以色列地之居民如是云、彼食餅必憂慮、飲水必驚惶、因斯地之居民、皆行強暴、故地必荒蕪、一無所留、

Say to the people of the land:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

Speak to the people of the land. Say to them,‘ Here is what the Lord and King says. He says this about those who live in Jerusalem and Israel.“ They will be worried as they eat their food. They will not have any hope as they drink their water. Their land will be stripped of everything in it because all those who live there are harming one another.

And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink water in dismay. In this way her land will be stripped of all it contains, on account of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

Tell the people,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says concerning those living in Israel and Jerusalem: They will eat their food with trembling and sip their water in despair, for their land will be stripped bare because of their violence.

Then say to the people of the land,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says about the residents of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in dread, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

Then say to the people of the land,‘ This is what the Lord God says concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel:“ They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because their land will be stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it.

And say to the people of the land,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the land of Israel:“ They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with dread, so that her land may be emptied of all who are in it, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and despoiled of all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

Then say to the people of the land: This is what the Lord God says about the residents of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in dread, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.

And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem,[ and] of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

Then say to the people of the land,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says about the inhabitants of Jerusalem and of the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in fright, for their land will be stripped bare of all it contains because of the violence of all who live in it.

Tell the people of the land,‘ The Lord Yahweh says concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel:“ They will eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, and all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein.

‘ I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land they left behind them was so desolate that no one traveled through it. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.’” (niv)

The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds. (niv)

Wherever you live, the towns will be laid waste and the high places demolished, so that your altars will be laid waste and devastated, your idols smashed and ruined, your incense altars broken down, and what you have made wiped out.Your people will fall slain among you, and you will know that I am the Lord. (niv)

And I will stretch out my hand against them and make the land a desolate waste from the desert to Diblah— wherever they live. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’” (niv)

“‘ Prepare chains! For the land is full of bloodshed, and the city is full of violence. (niv)

Listen! The report is coming— a great commotion from the land of the north! It will make the towns of Judah desolate, a haunt of jackals. (niv)

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; (niv)

But if someone says to you,“ This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience. (niv)

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You say about this place,“ It is a desolate waste, without people or animals.” Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither people nor animals, there will be heard once more (niv)

and fruitful land into a salt waste, because of the wickedness of those who lived there. (niv)

who build Zion with bloodshed, and Jerusalem with wickedness.Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say,“ Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us.”Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ The whole land will be ruined, though I will not destroy it completely. (niv)

Therefore this is what the Lord says: I am about to give this city into the hands of the Babylonians and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it. (niv)

Therefore prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander, (niv)

Then I said,“ For how long, Lord?” And he answered:“ Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, (niv)

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.So God said to Noah,“ I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. (niv)

As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her; her sickness and wounds are ever before me. (niv)

for,“ The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” (niv)

He then said to me:“ Son of man, I am about to cut off the food supply in Jerusalem. The people will eat rationed food in anxiety and drink rationed water in despair, (niv)

I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the wilderness grasslands. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds have all fled and the animals are gone.“ I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.” (niv)

“ This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ In this place, desolate and without people or animals— in all its towns there will again be pastures for shepherds to rest their flocks. (niv)

Their land will be an object of horror and of lasting scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will shake their heads. (niv)

So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked,“ Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?”As she was going to get it, he called,“ And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”“ As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied,“ I don’t have any bread— only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it— and die.” (niv)
