如今呢、你們要確實知道：你們在所想要去寄居的地方、是必因刀劍饑荒或瘟疫而死的。』

那麼你們所怕的刀劍就會在埃及地那裏趕上你們；你們所恐懼的饑荒就會緊跟着你們到埃及那裏，使你們死在那裏。

我必使你們四散於外國中，我必拔刀來追趕你們，你們的地就荒涼，你們的城市就荒廢。

因此在你中間父親必喫兒子，兒子必喫父親；我必向你施行判罰，使你餘剩之民都四散於四方。故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。你的三分之一必在你中間因瘟疫而死，因饑荒而消滅；三分之一必在你四圍倒斃於刀下；三分之一我必給四散於四方；我還要拔刀追趕他們。
