Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, saith the Lord GOD.

You fear the sword, and the sword is what I will bring against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.

You are afraid of the swords of war. But I will bring them against you,’ announces the Lord and King.

You have feared the sword, and I will bring the sword upon you, declares the Lord God.

I will bring on you the sword of war you so greatly fear, says the Sovereign Lord.

You fear the sword, so I will bring the sword against you. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare,[ are] upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.And it shall come to pass,[ that] he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose[ that] in which I delighted not.

And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed,[ and] fall in the land of Egypt; they shall[ even] be consumed by the sword[ and] by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration,[ and] an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

If we let him thus alone, all[ men] will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

He shall flee from the iron weapon,[ and] the bow of steel shall strike him through.

But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.One thousand[ shall flee] at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.

Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver[ thee]. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.But if thou refuse to go forth, this[ is] the word that the LORD hath shewed me:And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah’s house[ shall be] brought forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those[ women] shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee: thy feet are sunk in the mire,[ and] they are turned away back.So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.

Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;Then it shall come to pass,[ that] the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
