因此主永恆主這麼說：你們刺死的人、就是你們所放在城中的、他們乃是肉，這城呢、乃是鍋；你們呢、卻要從城中被帶出。

所以主耶和华如此说：你们杀在城中的人就是肉，这城就是锅；你们却要从其中被带出去。

故主耶和華曰、爾於斯邑、所陳之尸為肉、斯邑為鼎、惟爾被攜而出焉、

故我耶告華曰、爾既殺人、其尸若肉、斯邑若鼎、惟我逐爾於外。

故主天主如是云、爾於邑中所殺者、其屍若肉、斯邑若釜、惟爾曹我必逐出其中、

“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it.

“ So the Lord and King says,‘ The bodies you have thrown there are the meat. And the city is the cooking pot. But I will drive you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of it, they are the meat, and this city is the cauldron, but you shall be brought out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: This city is an iron pot all right, but the pieces of meat are the victims of your injustice. As for you, I will soon drag you from this pot.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will take you out of it.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will remove you from it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they[ are] the flesh, and this[ city is] the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

Therefore, this is what the sovereign LORD says:‘ The corpses you have dumped in the midst of the city are the meat, and this city is the cooking pot, but I will take you out of it.

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the middle of it, they are the meat, and this is the cauldron; but you will be brought out of the middle of it.

你要向這叛逆之家設比喻，對他們說：主永恆主這麼說：要將鍋放在火上，放好了，也要倒水在裏頭；要將肉塊、一切肥美肉塊，後腿和前腿、都撿在裏面；把最好的骨頭裝滿了鍋。取羊羣中最好的，將木頭堆在鍋底下，使鍋沸騰滾着，把骨頭在裏邊煮。『因此主永恆主這麼說：有禍啊這流人血的城，這有垢渣在裏面的鍋！其垢渣從未刮出；須要一塊一塊取出來；不必拈鬮挑選。因為她所殺人流的血還在城中；她是將血潑在光溜溜的磐石上，不是倒在地上，用塵土去掩蓋的。為了要激起我的烈怒、好施行報應，我就將她所殺人流的血處置在光溜溜的磐石上、而不掩蓋着。因此主永恆主這麼說：有禍啊這流人血的城！我，我也要加大柴堆，添上木柴，使火着旺，將肉煮爛，將湯倒出，使骨頭烤焦；然後把空了的鍋擱在炭火上，把鍋燒熱，把它的銅燒紅，使那中間的污穢熔化，使它的垢渣得除淨。嗐，它使我勞累辛苦！它厚厚的垢渣仍然沒有除去；它的垢渣用火也不能燒除。在你的污穢中有淫蕩那大罪惡極。因為我要潔淨你，而你卻不潔除你的污穢，那麼、非等到我平息了我向你發的烈怒，你是再也不能潔淨的了。

你們這些恨惡良善、喜愛壞事、從我人民身上剝奪了皮、從他們骨頭上剔肉的；你們這些喫我人民的肉、剝去他們的皮、打折他們的骨頭，切開像肉塊在鍋裏，像肉在釜中的。

護衛長拿住了祭司長西萊雅、副祭司西番亞、和三個把守門檻的；又從城裏拿住了一個管理戰士的官、和在城裏所遇見常見王面的五個人、跟檢閱國中之民軍長的書記官、以及城裏遇見的國中之民六十人。護衛長尼布撒拉旦將這些人帶到利比拉巴比倫王那裏。巴比倫王擊殺了他們，殺死在哈馬地的利比拉。這樣、猶大人就流亡、離開他們的本地。至於猶大地剩下的人民、就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所剩下的、巴比倫王卻立了沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子基大利作總督來管理他們。

我使你的頭額像金鋼鑽，比火石更堅硬；他們雖是叛逆之家，你可不要怕他們，不要因他們的臉色而驚慌。』他又對我說：『人子啊，我要對你說的我一切的話、你都要心裏領會，耳中細聽。你去找你本國流亡的子民，他們或者聽，或者不聽，你總要對他們講話，向他們說：「主永恆主這麼說。」』
