Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and he told me to say:“ This is what the Lord says: That is what you are saying, you leaders in Israel, but I know what is going through your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and he told me to say,“ This is what the Lord says to the people of Israel: I know what you are saying, for I know every thought that comes into your minds.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came on me, and he told me,“ You are to say,‘ This is what the LORD says: That is what you are thinking, house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me,“ Speak!‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

And the Spirit of Jehovah fell upon me, and he said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and He told me,“ You are to say: This is what the Lord says: That is what you are thinking, house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your mind.

And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind,[ every one of] them.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me and said to me,“ Say: This is what the LORD says:‘ This is what you are thinking, O house of Israel; I know what goes through your minds.

Yahweh’s Spirit fell on me, and he said to me,“ Speak,‘ Yahweh says:“ Thus you have said, house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, To give to each person according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.

And as He spoke to me the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me.

“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

“ Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre,‘ The Lord God says this:“ Because your heart is haughty And you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods In the heart of the seas’; Yet you are a mortal and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God—

Speak and say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great monster that lies in the midst of his canals, That has said,‘ My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’

So I am sending you to those who are impudent and obstinate children, and you shall say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:’As for them, whether they listen or not— for they are a rebellious house— they will know that a prophet has been among them.

But the Spirit entered me and set me up on my feet; and He spoke with me and said to me,“ Go, shut yourself inside your house.

“ Cry loudly, do not hold back; Raise your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their wrongdoing, And to the house of Jacob their sins.

These things you have done and I kept silent; You thought that I was just like you; I will rebuke you and present the case before your eyes.

Then the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be changed into a different man.

You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away.You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.

For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their wrongdoing concealed from My eyes.

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.

‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan,and you will say,‘ I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, who live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates,

Now it came about in the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, as I was sitting in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell upon me there.

Please let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God puts hearts and minds to the test.

And I will kill her children with plague, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

Go to the exiles, to the sons of your people, and speak to them and tell them, whether they listen or not,‘ This is what the Lord God says.’ ”

Because you have said,“ We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a pact. The gushing flood will not reach us when it passes by, Because we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”

When they came there to the hill, behold, a group of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, so that he prophesied among them.

But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you will say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:’ The one who hears, let him hear; and the one who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took away some of the Spirit who was upon him and placed Him upon the seventy elders. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied. Yet they did not do it again.But two men had remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other, Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them( and they were among those who had been registered, but had not gone out to the tent), and they prophesied in the camp.

Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were thinking that way within themselves,* said to them,“ Why are you thinking about these things in your hearts?

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.

The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying,“ He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and“ He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.”And so He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables:“ How can Satan cast out Satan?And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.“ Truly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons and daughters of men, and whatever blasphemies they commit;but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—because they were saying,“ He has an unclean spirit.”

“ Your words have been arrogant against Me,” says the Lord.“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’You have said,‘ It is pointless to serve God; and what benefit is it for us that we have done what He required, and that we have walked in mourning before the Lord of armies?

He* said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was hurt because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus* said to him,“ Tend My sheep.

But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, because He knew all people,and because He did not need anyone to testify about mankind, for He Himself knew what was in mankind.

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.
