Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and he told me to say:“ This is what the Lord says: That is what you are saying, you leaders in Israel, but I know what is going through your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me. He told me to tell them,“ The Lord says,‘ You leaders in Israel, that is what you are saying. But I know what you are thinking.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and he told me to say,“ This is what the Lord says to the people of Israel: I know what you are saying, for I know every thought that comes into your minds.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came on me, and he told me,“ You are to say,‘ This is what the LORD says: That is what you are thinking, house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and He said to me,“ Say,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ This is how you think, house of Israel, for I know your thoughts.

Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me,“ Speak!‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

And the Spirit of Jehovah fell upon me, and he said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and He told me,“ You are to say: This is what the Lord says: That is what you are thinking, house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your mind.

And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind,[ every one of] them.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me and said to me,“ Say: This is what the LORD says:‘ This is what you are thinking, O house of Israel; I know what goes through your minds.

Yahweh’s Spirit fell on me, and he said to me,“ Speak,‘ Yahweh says:“ Thus you have said, house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

“ I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

And as he spoke to me, the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.

“ And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

“ Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God:“ Because your heart is proud, and you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god—

speak, and say, Thus says the Lord God:“ Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his streams, that says,‘ My Nile is my own; I made it for myself.’

The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God.’And whether they hear or refuse to hear( for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them.

But the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and he spoke with me and said to me,“ Go, shut yourself within your house.

“ Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.

These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you.

Then the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from me, nor is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

“ Thus says the Lord God: On that day, thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil schemeand say,‘ I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’

In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, with the elders of Judah sitting before me, the hand of the Lord God fell upon me there.

Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous— you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!

and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

And go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God,’ whether they hear or refuse to hear.”

Because you have said,“ We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter”;

When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them.

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those registered, but they had not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp.

And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them,“ Why do you question these things in your hearts?

As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning.

And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying,“ He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and“ by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.”And he called them to him and said to them in parables,“ How can Satan cast out Satan?If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house.“ Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter,but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”—for they were saying,“ He has an unclean spirit.”

“ Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say,‘ How have we spoken against you?’You have said,‘ It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the Lord of hosts?

He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all peopleand needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.

While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.
