Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’

爾當告之曰、我耶和華雖驅斯民於遠邦、散之於異族、亦必於所至之地暫施扞禦。

故爾以西結當曰、主天主如是云、我雖逐之遠邦、散之列國、我猶在所至之列國、為其小聖所、

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

“ So tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ I sent some of my people far away among the nations. I scattered them among the countries. But for a little while I have been their temple in the countries where they have gone.” ’

Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while in the countries where they have gone.’

“ Therefore, tell the exiles,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I have scattered you in the countries of the world, I will be a sanctuary to you during your time in exile.

“ Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Though I had removed them far away among the nations, and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I was a sanctuary for them for a little while in the countries where they had gone.” ’

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.

“ Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Although I have removed them far away among the nations and have dispersed them among the countries, I have been a little sanctuary for them among the lands where they have gone.’

“ Therefore say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.”’

He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.

You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel:‘ Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans.For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.

“ Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say,‘ He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and all the people, saying,“ This man deserves to die! For he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.”

then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering.

that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.

You have given us up like sheep intended for food, And have scattered us among the nations.

Then Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his servants, his princes, and his officers went out to the king of Babylon; and the king of Babylon, in the eighth year of his reign, took him prisoner.And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house, and he cut in pieces all the articles of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, as the Lord had said.Also he carried into captivity all Jerusalem: all the captains and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.And he carried Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. The king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the mighty of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.All the valiant men, seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths, one thousand, all who were strong and fit for war, these the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; do not be afraid of him,’ says the Lord,‘ for I am with you, to save you and deliver you from his hand.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.“ Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord.

For I am with you,’ says the Lord,‘ to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’
