Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

爾當曰、主耶和華云、我雖遷之於遠邦、散之於列國、仍於其所至之地、暫為其聖所、

爾當告之曰、我耶和華雖驅斯民於遠邦、散之於異族、亦必於所至之地暫施扞禦。

故爾以西結當曰、主天主如是云、我雖逐之遠邦、散之列國、我猶在所至之列國、為其小聖所、

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

“ So tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ I sent some of my people far away among the nations. I scattered them among the countries. But for a little while I have been their temple in the countries where they have gone.” ’

Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while in the countries where they have gone.’

“ Therefore, tell the exiles,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I have scattered you in the countries of the world, I will be a sanctuary to you during your time in exile.

“ Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

Therefore say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Though I had removed them far away among the nations, and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I was a sanctuary for them for a little while in the countries where they had gone.” ’

Therefore say,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.”’

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.

“ Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: Though I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.

“ Therefore say:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Although I have removed them far away among the nations and have dispersed them among the countries, I have been a little sanctuary for them among the lands where they have gone.’

“ Therefore say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.”’

And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I[ am] the LORD their God.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for[ their] good.For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull[ them] down; and I will plant them, and not pluck[ them] up.

Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare[ it] in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd[ doth] his flock.

The name of the LORD[ is] a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man[ is] worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.

And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory[ shall be] a defence.

That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.If[ any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost[ parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

Thou hast given us like sheep[ appointed] for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.

And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour,[ even] ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land,[ those] carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.And all the men of might,[ even] seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all[ that were] strong[ and] apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I[ am] with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

Because thou hast made the LORD,[ which is] my refuge,[ even] the most High, thy habitation;There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.They shall bear thee up in[ their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I[ will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.

For I[ am] with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
