“ Therefore, tell the exiles,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I have scattered you in the countries of the world, I will be a sanctuary to you during your time in exile.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.

“列国啊！你们要听耶和华的话，要在远方的海岛传扬，说：‘那赶散以色列的神，必再招集他们；必看守他们，像牧人看守自己的羊群一样。’

耶和华的名是坚固的高台，义人投奔，就得安全。

祭司和先知对领袖和众民说：“这人应该处死，因为他说预言攻击这城，正如你们亲耳听见的。”

然后，耶和华必在锡安全山之上，并会众之上，在日间创造云和烟，夜间创造有火焰的光亮，因为在一切荣耀之上，必有遮盖。

那时，耶和华你的神就必使你这被掳的人回归，他必怜悯你；耶和华你的神必从你被分散到的万民中，把你再召集回来。你被赶逐的人，就是在天涯海角，耶和华你的神也必从那里把你召集回来，从那里把你带回。

你使我们像给人宰吃的羊，把我们分散在列国中。

犹大王约雅斤和他的母亲、众臣仆、众领袖，以及众太监，出城投降巴比伦王。巴比伦王于是捉住他。那时，是巴比伦王在位第八年。他又从耶路撒冷把耶和华殿一切宝物和王宫的宝物取去，并且把以色列王所罗门在耶和华殿所做的一切金器都捣毁，就像耶和华所说的。他又掳去耶路撒冷的众民、众领袖，以及英勇的战士共一万人，还有工匠、铁匠；除了国民中最贫穷的以外，没有剩下的。他把约雅斤掳到巴比伦去，又把太后、后妃、太监和国中的要员都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦；还有七千位战士，一千位工匠和铁匠，全都是能作战的勇士，巴比伦王把他们都掳到巴比伦去。

你们所怕的巴比伦王，你们不要惧怕他；你们不要惧怕他（这是耶和华的宣告），因为我与你们同在，要拯救你们，要搭救你们脱离他的手。

你既然把耶和华当作自己的避难所，把至高者当作自己的居所，祸患必不临到你，灾害必不临近你的帐棚。因为他为了你，会吩咐自己的使者，在你所行的一切路上保护你。他们必用手托住你，免得你的脚碰到石头。你必践踏狮子和虺蛇。你必踏碎少壮狮子和大蛇。耶和华说：“因为他恋慕我，我必搭救他；因为他认识我的名，我必保护他。他求告我，我必应允他；他在患难中，我必与他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊荣。我必使他得享长寿，又向他显明我的救恩。”

耶利米在耶和华殿里所说的这些话，众祭司、众先知和众民都听见了。

因为我与你同在，要拯救你；我要消灭我赶散你去的列国，却必不消灭你。我要按公正惩治你，决不能免你受罚。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
