到了第三天、早晨的時候，在山上有雷轟、閃電和濃雲；號角聲強大的很，營裏人民盡都顫抖。

又造祭司院、大外院、和外院門；用銅把門扇包上。

眾民見了雷轟、閃電、角聲和山上冒着煙；就懼怕，直發顫，遠遠地站着。對摩西說：『你對我們說話吧，我們就要聽；可別讓上帝和我們說話呀，恐怕我們死亡。』

永恆主從火中對你們講話；你們聽見聲音，卻沒有看見形像；只有聲音而已。他將他的約、就是他所吩咐你們遵行的十句話、向你們宣佈；他並且把這些話寫在兩塊石版上。

永恆主的聲音在眾水上；榮耀的上帝在打雷，永恆主打雷於大水之上。永恆主的聲音大有能力；永恆主的聲音滿有威嚴。永恆主的聲音震折了香柏樹；永恆主震斷了利巴嫩的香柏樹。他使利巴嫩跳躍如牛犢，使西連山蹦跳如野牛犢。永恆主的聲音砍開火焰來。永恆主的聲音使曠野慌張旋轉。永恆主使加低斯的曠野旋轉慌張。永恆主的聲音使篤耨香樹旋轉，使森林中的樹木脫落淨光；凡在他殿堂中的都說：『榮耀！』

密雲倒出水來；雲霄發出響聲；你的閃箭也飛來飛去。

大聲喊叫，像獅子怒吼着；喊叫完了，就有七雷發出聲音來說話。七雷說話的時候，我正要寫下來；就聽見有聲音從天上說：『你要蓋印封上七雷所說的話，不可寫出來。』

因為你們上了的並不是一個可摸觸的山：那裏有燒𤏲的火、與昏黑幽冥和旋風、號筒的響聲、和說話之聲音的；當時聽見的都請求不要把話語加傳給他們；

他又領我出到外院，使我經過院子的四個拐角；我見院子的每個拐角都有一個院子。

向那乘駕諸天、萬古之天的、高獻讚歌；哦，他發出聲音、強有力的聲音。

父啊，榮耀你的名！』於是有聲音從天上來，說：『我已經榮耀了，還要再榮耀。』當下站着的羣眾聽見了，就說是雷轟哦；另有人說：『有個天使對他說話呢。』
