Do not refuse to let them go. Do not keep holding them back.

你若不肯容他们去，仍旧强留他们，

If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back,

If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country.

I told you,‘ Let my son go. Then he will be able to worship me.’ But you refused to let him go. So I will kill your oldest son.” ’ ”

God judges fairly. He shows his anger every day.If evil people don’t change their ways, God will sharpen his sword. He will get his bow ready to use.

“‘ After all that, suppose you still do not listen to me. And suppose you continue to be my enemy.Then I will be angry with you. I will be your enemy. I myself will again punish you for your sins over and over.

“‘ On the other hand, suppose you do not listen to me. Suppose you do not carry out all my commands.Suppose you say no to my rules and turn away from my laws. And suppose you break my covenant by failing to carry out all my commands.Then here is what I will do to you. All at once I will bring terror on you. I will send sicknesses that will make you weak. I will send fever that will destroy your sight. It will slowly take your strength away. When you plant seeds, it will not do you any good. Instead, your enemies will eat what you have planted.

I’ve given her time to turn away from her sinful ways. But she doesn’t want to.She lay down to commit her sin so I will make her lie down in suffering. Those who commit adultery with her will suffer greatly too. Their only way out is to turn away from what she taught them to do.

But if you are not willing to obey me, you will be killed by swords.” The Lord has spoken.

They were burned by the blazing heat. So they spoke evil things against the name of God, who controlled these plagues. But they refused to turn away from their sins. They did not give glory to God.

God will certainly smash the heads of his enemies. He will break the hairy heads of those who keep on sinning.

If you refuse to let them go, I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow.

“‘ After all those things, suppose you still do not accept my warnings. And suppose you continue to be my enemy.Then I myself will be your enemy. I will make you suffer again and again for your sins.

But there are others who only look out for themselves. They don’t accept the truth. They go astray. God will pour out his great anger on them.
