However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power and to make my name known on the whole earth.

然我之立爾、實欲顯我能於爾、且揚我名於天下、

然我使爾崛興、以顯我能、我名播揚於天下。

然我使爾立、欲顯我之大能以示爾、使我名傳於天下、或作但因我欲顯我之大能以示爾使我名傳於天下故至今我使爾立

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

But I had a special reason for making you king. I decided to show you my power. I wanted my name to become known everywhere on earth.

But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

But I have spared you for a purpose— to show you my power and to spread my fame throughout the earth.

But indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name throughout the earth.

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.

but in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you My power and to make My name known in all the earth.

And in very deed for this[ cause] have I raised thee up, for to shew[ in] thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

But for this purpose I have caused you to stand: to show you my strength, and so that my name may be declared in all the earth.

For the Scripture tells Pharaoh, I raised you up for this reason so that I may display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in the whole earth.

Let them be put to shame and terrified forever; let them perish in disgrace.May they know that you alone— whose name is the LORD— are the Most High over the whole earth.

The LORD has prepared everything for his purpose— even the wicked for the day of disaster.

Then everyone will fear and will tell about God’s work, for they will understand what he has done.

Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all peoples.

He struck the firstborn of the Egyptians His faithful love endures forever.and brought Israel out from among them His faithful love endures forever.with a strong hand and outstretched arm. His faithful love endures forever.He divided the Red Sea His faithful love endures forever.and led Israel through, His faithful love endures forever.but hurled Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea. His faithful love endures forever.

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods, because he did wonders when the Egyptians acted arrogantly against Israel.”

and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word; they were destined for this.

As for me, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them, and I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh, all his army, and his chariots and horsemen.

LORD, who is like you among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?You stretched out your right hand, and the earth swallowed them.With your faithful love, you will lead the people you have redeemed; you will guide them to your holy dwelling with your strength.When the peoples hear, they will shudder; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified; trembling will seize the leaders of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan will panic;terror and dread will fall on them. They will be as still as a stone because of your powerful arm until your people pass by, LORD, until the people whom you purchased pass by.

For some people, who were designated for this judgment long ago, have come in by stealth; they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.

For it brings favor if, because of a consciousness of God, someone endures grief from suffering unjustly.

Woe to us! Who will rescue us from these magnificent gods? These are the gods that slaughtered the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.

He made his glorious strength available at the right hand of Moses, divided the water before them to make an eternal name for himself,and led them through the depths like a horse in the wilderness, so that they did not stumble.Like cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. You led your people this way to make a glorious name for yourself.

And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he will pursue them. Then I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So the Israelites did this.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings you completely destroyed across the Jordan.When we heard this, we lost heart, and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

“ The deceiver is cursed who has an acceptable male in his flock and makes a vow but sacrifices a defective animal to the Lord. For I am a great King,” says the LORD of Armies,“ and my name will be feared among the nations.

“ My name will be great among the nations, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Incense and pure offerings will be presented in my name in every place because my name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Armies.
