法老召他的謀士和巫師前來，這些人是埃及的術士，他們也用邪術如法炮製。

王所有的智者進來後，竟無人能讀懂或把意思告訴王。

早上法老心中不安，就派人召來埃及所有的術士和博學之士，把夢告訴他們，可是沒有一個人能為他解夢。

埃及王啊，你的智者在哪裡呢？讓他們把萬軍之耶和華對付埃及的計劃告訴你吧！

耶穌回答說：「我看見撒旦像閃電一樣從天上墜下。

占星家說：「王所要求的，世上無人能做到，因為再偉大、再有權勢的君王也沒問過術士、巫師或占星家這樣的事。王問的事太難，除了不在人間居住的神明外，無人能為王解答。」

「你自幼就勤練符咒和五花八門的邪術，繼續施展吧！也許會有用處，也許會令人害怕。眾多的計謀使你疲憊不堪，讓那些觀天象、每月說預言的占星家來救你脫離將臨的災禍吧！

術士、巫師、占星家和占卜者都來了，我將夢告訴他們，他們卻不能給我解夢。

現在這些人敵對真理，就像從前雅尼和佯庇反對摩西一樣，他們的心思壞透了，他們的信仰是虛假的。不過，他們猖狂不了多久，因為他們的愚昧行徑必暴露在眾人面前，就像雅尼和佯庇的下場一樣。
