Then announce to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you,“ Let my people go, so they can worship me in the wilderness.” Until now, you have refused to listen to him.

Then say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened.

Say to Pharaoh,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you. He says,“ Let my people go. Then they will be able to worship me in the desert. But up to now you have not listened.”

And you shall say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness.” But so far, you have not obeyed.

Tell him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But so far you have not listened.

And you shall say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying,“ Let My people go, so that they may serve Me in the wilderness. But behold, you have not listened up to now.”

And you shall say to him,‘ The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying,“ Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness”; but indeed, until now you would not hear!

And thou shalt say unto him, Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened.

Tell him: Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me in the wilderness, but so far you have not listened.

And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.

Tell him,‘ The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you to say,“ Release my people, that they may serve me in the desert!” But until now you have not listened.

You shall tell him,‘ Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. Behold, until now you haven’t listened.”

“ The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So please let us take a three day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God.’

“ Go back to Pharaoh,” the Lord commanded Moses.“ Tell him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so they can worship me.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Get up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh. Tell him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so they can worship me.

God answered,“ I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”

Then the Lord told Moses,“ Get up early in the morning and stand in Pharaoh’s way as he goes down to the river. Say to him,‘ This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so they can worship me.

The council then threatened them further, but they finally let them go because they didn’t know how to punish them without starting a riot. For everyone was praising Godfor this miraculous sign— the healing of a man who had been lame for more than forty years.As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said.

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you refuse to submit to me? Let my people go, so they can worship me.

I will raise up Cyrus to fulfill my righteous purpose, and I will guide his actions. He will restore my city and free my captive people— without seeking a reward! I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

When word reached the king of Egypt that the Israelites had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds.“ What have we done, letting all those Israelite slaves get away?” they asked.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go back to Pharaoh and announce to him,‘ This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so they can worship me.

“ What’s going on?” the Philistines asked.“ What’s all the shouting about in the Hebrew camp?” When they were told it was because the Ark of the Lord had arrived,they panicked.“ The gods have come into their camp!” they cried.“ This is a disaster! We have never had to face anything like this before!Help! Who can save us from these mighty gods of Israel? They are the same gods who destroyed the Egyptians with plagues when Israel was in the wilderness.Fight as never before, Philistines! If you don’t, we will become the Hebrews’ slaves just as they have been ours! Stand up like men and fight!”

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says:“ The people of Israel and Judah have been wronged. Their captors hold them and refuse to let them go.

Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, so the Lord killed all the firstborn males throughout the land of Egypt, both people and animals. That is why I now sacrifice all the firstborn males to the Lord— except that the firstborn sons are always bought back.’

After this presentation to Israel’s leaders, Moses and Aaron went and spoke to Pharaoh. They told him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go so they may hold a festival in my honor in the wilderness.”“ Is that so?” retorted Pharaoh.“ And who is the Lord? Why should I listen to him and let Israel go? I don’t know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.”But Aaron and Moses persisted.“ The God of the Hebrews has met with us,” they declared.“ So let us take a three day journey into the wilderness so we can offer sacrifices to the Lord our God. If we don’t, he will kill us with a plague or with the sword.”
