但以理對曰、王所問之奧秘、非哲士、術士、博士、星士、所能告王者、

於是博士、術士、迦勒底人、星士、咸集、我告以所夢、彼不能示我其兆、示我其兆或作為我解之既而但以理至我前、彼循我所敬之神名、稱伯提沙撒、素為聖神明之神所感、我遂以夢告之曰、博士長伯提沙撒歟、我知爾素為聖神明之神所感、凡奧秘之事、爾無不明晰、今我得夢、爾解其兆、爾解其兆或作爾為我解之

爾自幼勤於符咒、多行巫術、今試立於此、今試立於此或作今任爾仍如此行或可得益、或可勝敵、勝敵或作恐喝敵人爾設多謀、徒自困乏、惟彼觀天象者、占察星辰者、在月朔宣告爾所將遇者、今可興起以拯救爾、

爾國中有一人、素為聖神明之神所感、爾父爾父或作爾祖下同之時、人謂其具聰明頴悟、智慧與神明之智慧無異、爾父尼布甲尼撒王立之為博士、術士、迦勒底人、星士之長、

瑣安之候伯、盡為愚蒙、法老謀士之智者、其謀忽成拙計、焉能告法老曰、我乃先賢之後、古王之裔哉、爾之智慧者安在、萬有之主為伊及所定之謀、謀或作命下同彼當知之、當告爾、

爾中若有先知或作夢者出、預言異兆奇事、所言之異兆奇事有驗、遂教爾曰、我儕莫若從事異邦之神、異邦之神或作別神下同此神即爾素所未識者、毋聽其先知或作夢者之言、蓋主爾之天主試爾、欲知爾盡心盡意愛主爾天主否、

獸被擒、偽先知曾於獸前行異跡、誘惑受獸印誌及拜獸像者、亦同被擒、二者生投於硫磺火坑中、
