I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself fully known to them.

亞伯蘭九十九歲的時候，永恆主向亞伯蘭顯現，說：『我是全能的上帝；你在我面前往來，要純全無疵。

耶穌對他們說：『沒有亞伯拉罕之先、我永在。』

上帝對摩西說：『我是永恆主耶和華』：又說：『你要對以色列人這麼說：「永恆主耶和華差遣了我來找你們。」』

雅各對約瑟說：「全能的上帝在迦南地的路斯向我顯現，給我祝福，

約翰寫信給在亞西亞的七個教會。願你們蒙恩平安；願你們從那今在昔在以後永在的、從他寶座前的七靈、

上帝對他說：『我是全能的上帝；你要繁殖增多，必有一國、集團之國、由你而生，必有君王由你腰腎中生出。

永恆主向亞伯蘭顯現，說：『我要把這地賜給你的後裔。』亞伯蘭就在那裏給向他顯現的永恆主築了一座壇。從那裏他又往前進，到伯特利東邊的山搭帳棚。西邊是伯特利，東邊是艾，在那裏他又給永恆主築了一座壇，呼求永恆主的名。

永恆主以色列的王、那贖回以色列的、萬軍之永恆主、這麼說：『我是起始，我是末終；我以外、再沒有真神。

現在呢、我在這裏作甚麼？永恆主說：我的人民無緣無故地被擄，轄制他們的大肆咆哮，我的名終日不斷被藐視！故此我人民必認識我的名；故此到那日他們就知道說這話的就是我：看哪，是我！』

亞伯蘭就搬了帳棚，來到希伯崙、幔利的聖篤耨香樹那裏住下；在那裏他給永恆主築了一座祭壇。

我耶和華，這是我的名；我的榮耀、我不給予別的神，我受的稱讚、我不給雕刻的像。

願全能的上帝賜福與你，使你繁殖增多，成為集團民族。

亞伯拉罕給那地方起名叫『永恆主以勒』；今日人還說：『在永恆主山上、必有所顧到的。』
