耶和華又指示摩西說：「你和亞倫、拿答、亞比戶及以色列的七十位長老上我這裡來，遠遠地敬拜我。

摩西啊，你要帶亞倫和他兒子以利亞撒上何珥山，

下面是亞倫子孫的班次。亞倫的兒子是拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪。拿答和亞比戶比父親先死，而且沒有留下兒子，因此以利亞撒和以他瑪做了祭司。

亞倫的長子是拿答，其他兒子還有亞比戶、以利亞撒和以他瑪。亞倫的兒子都是受膏的祭司，從摩西那裡承受聖職做祭司。拿答和亞比戶在西奈曠野用凡火向耶和華獻祭，因而被擊殺。他們沒有後裔，因此只剩下以利亞撒和以他瑪在父親亞倫身邊擔任祭司。

猶太王希律執政期間，亞比雅的班裡有位祭司名叫撒迦利亞，他妻子伊莉莎白是亞倫的後裔。

之後，摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞比戶及七十位長老便上了山。

亞倫生拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒和以他瑪。拿答和亞比戶因用凡火向耶和華獻祭而被擊殺。

亞倫的兒子拿答和亞比戶各拿自己的香爐，點火加香，在耶和華面前獻上凡火。他們這樣做不合耶和華的吩咐。於是，有火從耶和華面前出來吞噬了他們，他們就死在耶和華面前。
