摩西對永恆主抗議說：『看哪，以色列人尚且不聽我，法老怎肯聽我呢？我又是個拙口笨舌的人！』

摩西在耶和华面前说：“以色列人尚且不听我的话，法老怎肯听我这拙口笨舌的人呢？”

摩西在耶和华面前说：“看哪，以色列人尚且不听我，法老怎么会听我这不会讲话的人呢？”

摩西在耶和华面前说：“看哪，以色列人尚且不听我，法老怎么会听我这不会讲话的人呢？”

摩西却说：“以色列人都不听我的话，法老又怎么肯听我这拙口笨舌的人呢？”

摩西在耶和华面前说：“看哪，以色列人尚且不肯听我的话，法老又怎会听我的话呢？因为我是个拙口笨舌的人。”

摩西在耶和華面前說：「以色列人尚且不聽我的話，法老怎肯聽我這拙口笨舌的人呢？」

摩西在耶和華面前說：「看哪，以色列人尚且不聽我，法老怎麼會聽我這不會講話的人呢？」

摩西在耶和華面前說：「看哪，以色列人尚且不聽我，法老怎麼會聽我這不會講話的人呢？」

摩西卻說：「以色列人都不聽我的話，法老又怎麼肯聽我這拙口笨舌的人呢？」

摩西在耶和華面前說：“看哪，以色列人尚且不肯聽我的話，法老又怎會聽我的話呢？因為我是個拙口笨舌的人。”

摩西曰、以色列人尚不我聽、法老焉能聽我拙口者乎、

摩西對曰、我拙於口、以色列族且不聽、何論乎王。

摩西於主前言曰、我拙於口、以色列人且不聽我、法老豈聽我乎、

But Moses said to the Lord,“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?”

But Moses said to the Lord,“ The people won’t listen to me. So why would Pharaoh listen to me? After all, I don’t speak very well.”

But Moses said to the Lord,“ Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

“ But Lord!” Moses objected.“ My own people won’t listen to me anymore. How can I expect Pharaoh to listen? I’m such a clumsy speaker!”

But Moses said in the LORD’s presence,“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am such a poor speaker?”

But Moses spoke before the Lord, saying,“ Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, as I am unskilled in speech?”

And Moses spoke before the Lord, saying,“ The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

And Moses spake before Jehovah, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

But Moses said in the Lord’s presence:“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am such a poor speaker?”

And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who[ am] of uncircumcised lips?

But Moses replied to the LORD,“ If the Israelites did not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with difficulty?”

Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying,“ Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, when I have uncircumcised lips?”

摩西對永恆主說：『主啊，我不是善於說話的人：昨天不是，前天不是，從你對僕人說話時以後也不是；因為我本是口舌遲鈍的。』

我就說：『啊，主永恆主啊，你看；我不曉得說話，因為我年輕。』

摩西對永恆主抗議說：『看哪，我是個拙口笨舌的人，法老怎肯聽我呢？』

我要向誰說話，而發警告，使他們聽呢？看哪，他們的耳朵沒受割禮，不能傾聽；看哪，永恆主的話、他們以為羞辱，不喜悅它。

『頸項剛硬、心與耳沒受割禮的人哪，你們永遠抗拒聖靈；你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。

因而我、我行事也跟他們作對，我把他們帶到他們仇敵之地；那時他們沒受割禮的心若自己謙卑，那時他們若情願接受他們的罪罰，

摩西這樣告訴以色列人，以色列人卻因了心裏着急、又因了很難作的苦工、不肯聽摩西的話。

摩西、亞倫就去聚集以色列人的眾長老。亞倫將永恆主對摩西說的一切話、說了一遍，又在人民眼前行了那些神迹。人民就相信；他們聽見永恆主眷顧以色列人，看見他們的困苦，就俯伏敬拜。

摩西對上帝說：『看哪，我到以色列人那裏，對他們說：「你們祖宗的上帝差遣了我來找你們」，他們會問我說：「他的名有甚麼意義？」我要對他們怎麼說呢？』

這樣，既有話說：『你們的磚不可減少，每天的本份要在當天作完』，以色列人的頭目就見他們有禍了。他們從法老面前退出來時，正遇見摩西、亞倫站在對面，就對他們說：『願永恆主鑒察你們，審判你們，因為你們使我們的香氣在法老和他臣僕面前都發臭了，你們把刀遞在他們手中來殺我們。』

我說：『我有禍啦！我完啦！因為我是個嘴脣不潔淨的人，又住在嘴脣不潔淨的人民中，因為我親眼看見了大君王、萬軍之永恆主。』

永恆主你的上帝必給你的心和你後裔的心行割禮，使你全心全意愛永恆主你的上帝，使你得以活着，

就是埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫人、摩押人、和所有住曠野、將鬢邊頭髮剃成了圓形的人；因為列國人心沒受割禮，以色列全家心也沒受割禮。』
