Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.’”

Later on, Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. They said,“ The Lord is the God of Israel. He says,‘ Let my people go. Then they will be able to hold a feast to honor me in the desert.’ ”

Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel,‘ Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”

After this presentation to Israel’s leaders, Moses and Aaron went and spoke to Pharaoh. They told him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go so they may hold a festival in my honor in the wilderness.”

Later, Moses and Aaron went in and said to Pharaoh,“ This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival for me in the wilderness.”

And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ Let My people go so that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.’ ”

Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh,“ Thus says the Lord God of Israel:‘ Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’”

And afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said unto Pharaoh, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Later, Moses and Aaron went in and said to Pharaoh,“ This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: Let My people go, so that they may hold a festival for Me in the wilderness.”

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh,“ This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”

Moses said,“ We will go with our young and our old, with our sons and our daughters, and with our sheep and our cattle we will go, because we are to hold a pilgrim feast for the LORD.”

So Jonah went immediately to Nineveh, as the LORD had said.( Now Nineveh was an enormous city– it required three days to walk through it!)When Jonah began to enter the city one day’s walk, he announced,“ At the end of forty days, Nineveh will be overthrown!”

But you, son of man, do not fear them, and do not fear their words– even though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions– do not fear their words and do not be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house!

So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of vice and evil, but with the bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.

The LORD who commands armies will hold a banquet for all the nations on this mountain. At this banquet there will be plenty of meat and aged wine– tender meat and choicest wine.

“ The elders will listen to you, and then you and the elders of Israel must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’

I will speak about your regulations before kings and not be ashamed.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

When Elijah arrived, Ahab said to him,“ So, you have found me, my enemy!” Elijah replied,“ I have found you, because you are committed to doing evil in the sight of the LORD.

And you will be brought before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them and the Gentiles.

And now, Lord, pay attention to their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your message with great courage,
