Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the covenant law and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit long and a cubit wide, square, and two cubits high; its horns were of one piece with it.And he overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around.He also made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides— on opposite sides— as holders for poles with which to carry it.And he made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.

And all the skilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in violet, purple, and scarlet material, and in fine linen.And all the women whose heart stirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair.The rulers, moreover, brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting for the ephod and for the breastpiece;and the spice and the oil for the light and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.

“ Now you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit; it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits; its horns shall be of one piece with it.You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it.You shall also make two gold rings for it under its molding; you shall make them on its two sides— on opposite sides— and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it.And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Then he placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.Then he set up the curtain for the doorway of the tabernacle.

For Christ did not enter a holy place made by hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
