“ Set up the holy tent, the tent of meeting. Set it up on the first day of the first month.

When Moses finished setting up the tabernacle, he anointed and consecrated it and all its furnishings. He also anointed and consecrated the altar and all its utensils.

“ Make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle— eleven altogether.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:

So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month in the second year.When Moses set up the tabernacle, he put the bases in place, erected the frames, inserted the crossbars and set up the posts.Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, as the Lord commanded him.

They made fifty bronze clasps to fasten the tent together as a unit.

In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.

“ Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting;

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,“ This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;

Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.

“ Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim woven into them by a skilled worker.
