曰、如是、可使之信耶和華、其祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、顯見於爾、

耶和華曰、爾當行是、使以色列族信其祖之上帝、亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、耶和華已顯現於爾。○

又曰、如是、可使以色列人信其列祖之天主耶和華、即亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、實顯現於爾、

“ This,” said the Lord,“ is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob— has appeared to you.”

The Lord said,“ When they see this sign, they will believe that I appeared to you. I am the Lord, the God of their fathers. I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. And I am the God of Jacob.”

“ that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

“ Perform this sign,” the Lord told him.“ Then they will believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob— really has appeared to you.”

“ This will take place,” he continued,“ so that they will believe that the LORD, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要在密云中降临到你那里，为要使人民在我与你说话的时候可以听见，也可以永远信你。”于是，摩西把人民的话告诉了耶和华。

耶和华向亚伯兰显现，说：“我要把这地赐给你的后裔。”亚伯兰就在那里为向他显现的耶和华筑了一座祭坛。

耶和华向以撒显现，说：“你不要下到埃及去，要住在我所指示你的地方。

人民就相信了；他们听见耶和华眷顾以色列人，也鉴察了他们的痛苦，就俯伏敬拜。

雅各对约瑟说：“全能的神曾经在迦南地的路斯向我显现，赐福给我，

神又对摩西说：“你要对以色列人这样说：‘耶和华你们祖宗的神，就是亚伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神，差遣我到你们这里来；这就是我永久的名字，也是世世代代中我被记念的名字。’

耶和华在幔利橡树那里，向亚伯拉罕显现。那时，是一天中最热的时候，亚伯拉罕正坐在帐棚门口；

但把这些事记下来，是要你们信耶稣是基督，是神的儿子，并且使你们信了，可以因他的名得生命。

然后对多马说：“把你的指头放在这里，看看我的手吧！伸出你的手来，探探我的肋旁！不要疑惑，只要信！”

我为你们欢喜，因为我不在那里，是要使你们相信。现在我们到他那里去吧。”

司提反说：“各位父老兄弟请听！我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕，在美索不达米亚，还没有住在哈兰的时候，荣耀的神向他显现，

又说：“我是你父亲的神、亚伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神。”摩西因为怕见神，就把自己的脸蒙住了。

以法莲的首都是撒玛利亚，撒玛利亚的首领是利玛利的儿子；你们若不相信，就必定不得坚立。”’”

他们必听你的话；你和以色列的长老要到埃及王那里去，对他说：‘耶和华希伯来人的神遇见了我们。现在求你让我们走三天的路程到旷野去，好献祭给耶和华我们的神。’

但我有比约翰更大的见证，因为父赐给我要我完成的工作，就是我所要作的，证明我是父所差来的。

亚伯兰九十九岁的时候，耶和华向他显现，对他说：“我是全能的神，你要在我面前行事为人；你要作完全人。

耶和华在古时（“在古时”或译：“从远处”）曾向以色列（按照《马索拉文本》，“以色列”应作“我”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）显现，说：“我以永远的爱爱你，因此，我对你的慈爱延续不息（“我对你的慈爱延续不息”或译：“我要以慈爱吸引你”）。

第二天早晨，众人清早起来，出发到提哥亚的旷野去；他们正出去的时候，约沙法站起来，说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你们要听我的话；信靠耶和华你们的神，你们就必坚立；信靠他的先知，你们就必亨通。”

摩西回答：“看哪，他们必不信我，也不听我的话；因为他们必说：‘耶和华并没有向你显现。’”

我知道你常常听我，但我说这话，是为了周围站着的群众，叫他们信是你差了我来。”
