“你要造一座用纯金锤出的灯台。灯台的座、干、杯、花萼和花瓣，都要和灯台接连一块。灯台两旁要伸出六根枝子：这边三根，那边三根。这边枝子上有三个杯，形状像杏花，有花萼有花瓣；那边枝子上也有三个杯，形状像杏花，有花萼有花瓣。从灯台伸出来的六根枝子都是如此。灯台本身要有四个杯，形状像杏花，有花萼有花瓣。灯台的第一对枝子下面有花萼，灯台的第二对枝子下面有花萼，灯台的第三对枝子下面也有花萼；灯台伸出的六根枝子都是如此。花萼和枝子都要和灯台接连一块，全是从一块纯金锤出来的。要做灯台的七盏灯，灯要点燃，照亮前面。要用纯金做灯剪和灯盘。做灯台和这一切的器具要用一他连得纯金。

因为那预备好了的帐幕，第一层叫圣所，里面有灯台、供桌和供饼。

在他里面有生命，这生命就是人的光。光照在黑暗里，黑暗却没有胜过光。有一个人，是从上帝那里差来的，名叫约翰。这人来是为了作见证，是为那光作见证，要使众人藉着他而信。他不是那光，而是要为那光作见证。那光是真光，来到世上，照亮所有的人。

金灯台和金灯的重量，按每一个灯台和灯的重量；银灯台和银灯的重量，按每一个灯台和灯的重量，都按照每一个灯台的用途；

他们每日早晚向耶和华献燔祭，烧芬芳的香，又在纯金的供桌上摆供饼，每晚点燃金灯台上的灯盏，因为我们遵守耶和华—我们上帝的命令，但你们却离弃了他。

我问天使说：“那么在灯台左右的这两棵橄榄树是什么意思呢？”

他要在耶和华面前经常照管纯金灯台上的灯。”

好使你们无可指责，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作上帝无瑕疵的儿女。你们在这世代中要像明光照耀，

他把灯台安在会幕内，在帐幕的南边，供桌的对面，并在耶和华面前点灯，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

他问我：“你看见什么？”我说：“我看见了，看哪，有一个纯金的灯台，顶上有灯座，其上有七盏灯，每盏灯的上头有七根管子；

人点灯，不放在斗底下，而是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。

我转过身来要看看是谁的声音在跟我说话。我一转过来，看见了七个金灯台；在灯台中间有一位好像人子的，身穿垂到脚的长袍，胸间束着金带。他的头与发皆白，如白羊毛，如雪；他的眼睛好像火焰，双脚好像在炉中锻炼得发亮的铜，声音好像众水的声音。他右手拿着七颗星，从他口中吐出一把两刃的利剑，面貌好像烈日放光。我看见了他，就仆倒在他脚前，像死人一样。他用右手按着我说：“不要怕。我是首先的，是末后的，又是永活的。我曾死过，看哪，我是活着的，直到永永远远；并且我拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。所以，你要把所看见的事、现在的事和以后将发生的事，都写下来。至于你所看见、在我右手中的七颗星和那七个金灯台的奥秘就是：七颗星是七个教会的使者，七个灯台是七个教会。”“你要写信给以弗所教会的使者，说：‘那右手拿着七颗星，在七个金灯台中间行走的这样说：我知道你的行为、劳碌、忍耐，也知道你不容忍恶人。你也曾察验那自称为使徒却不是使徒的，看出他们是假的。你能忍耐，曾为我的名劳苦而不困倦。然而，有一件事我要责备你，就是你把起初的爱心抛弃了。所以你要回想你是从哪里坠落的，并且要悔改，做起初所做的工作。你若不悔改，我要到你那里去，把你的灯台从原处挪去。
