“要用皂荚木做一柜，长二肘半，宽一肘半，高一肘半。要里外包上精金，四围镶上金牙边。也要铸四个金环，安在柜的四脚上；这边两环，那边两环。要用皂荚木做两根杠，用金包裹。要把杠穿在柜旁的环内，以便抬柜。这杠要常在柜的环内，不可抽出来。必将我所要赐给你的法版放在柜里。要用精金做施恩座，长二肘半，宽一肘半。要用金子锤出两个基路伯来，安在施恩座的两头。这头做一个基路伯，那头做一个基路伯，二基路伯要接连一块，在施恩座的两头。二基路伯要高张翅膀，遮掩施恩座。基路伯要脸对脸，朝着施恩座。

就是会幕和法柜，并其上的施恩座，与会幕中一切的器具，

以色列人离开耶和华的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和华的约柜在前头行了三天的路程，为他们寻找安歇的地方。他们拔营往前行，日间有耶和华的云彩在他们以上。约柜往前行的时候，摩西就说：“耶和华啊，求你兴起！愿你的仇敌四散！愿恨你的人从你面前逃跑！”约柜停住的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中！”

又把法版放在柜里，把杠穿在柜的两旁，把施恩座安在柜上。把柜抬进帐幕，挂上遮掩柜的幔子，把法柜遮掩了，是照耶和华所吩咐他的。
